The Role

Coupang is reimagining the shopping experience with the goal of wowing each customer from the instant they open the Coupang app to the moment an order is delivered to their door. We have recently launched our services in Taiwan including Rocket Delivery which offers next-day delivery for a wide selection of items at affordable prices and Rocket Overseas which offers international delivery on millions of best-selling products from Korea, the U.S., and beyond. We are looking for talents to help us lead Coupang’s international expansion in Taiwan.

Role Overview
As a Senior Director for our International Catalogue Team, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our product catalogue to enhance the customer experience that will drive sales. You will act as a strategic partner to the organization, championing our leadership principles and customer-obsessed culture.

What You Will Do:
•    Lead a large organization and demand excellence from hundreds of team members across functions including taxonomy, quality, onboarding, and selection.
•    Oversee the organization and maintenance of product listings, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and up to date.
•    Transform the catalogue into a competitive advantage for Coupang and deliver a “WoW” experience to customers.
•    Collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, IT, and Operations to improve catalogue quality and ensure seamless integration across platforms.
•    Optimize product descriptions, keywords, and categories to enhance search and discovery.
•    Monitor and analyze catalogue performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
•    Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance the eCommerce experience for international consumers.
•    Lead cross-functional teams to implement best practices in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.
•    Collaborate with teams in Search, Merchandising, User Experience, and Pricing to create a world-class customer experience.
•    Utilize analytics tools to monitor performance, optimize campaigns, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Basic Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years of relevant experience.
•    Proven experience leading a large, diverse team.
•    A customer-obsessed mindset with strong data-driven thinking.
•    Ability to solve problems through creative thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
•    Demonstrated ability to achieve challenging targets through goal-setting and personal drive.
•    Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform strategy and decision-making.
•    Expertise in eCommerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•    General understanding of business operations across key areas such as finance, legal, HR, logistics, e-commerce, and technology.
•    Experience managing product data or catalogues in an eCommerce environment.
•    Experience working in or managing within a start-up environment.
•    Knowledge of digital marketing tools and techniques, including SEO, SEM, and email marketing.
•    Experience working with and managing multicultural teams.
