As Senior Director, IT here at Honeywell Technologies, you will lead the technology strategy for the Smart Energy (SME) and Thermal Solutions (HTS) businesses of Industrial Automation (IA). Partnering closely with the SME and HTS Presidents, you will combine strong business acumen, customer focus, and technology leadership to solve complex challenges, anticipate future needs, and convert strategy into disciplined execution. 

The ideal candidate connects systems, data, and processes across SAP, Salesforce, e-commerce, supply chain, cloud, and digital platforms to unlock growth, transformation, resilience, and exceptional customer experiences. This leader will build high-performing teams, challenge conventional thinking, and champion secure, scalable change in a complex global matrix. Success will be measured by business outcomes.

You will report directly to the Chief Information Officer, Industrial Automation and work from our Charlotte, NC, Raleigh, NC, or Houston, TX location on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 

  • Own and execute the technology agenda for Smart Energy and Thermal Solutions, aligning investment and delivery to growth, margin, resilience, customer value, and operational outcomes. 
  • Partner with SBU Presidents and senior leaders to anticipate business needs, constructively challenge conventional thinking, and translate strategy into roadmaps, business cases, and disciplined execution. 
  • Lead enterprise transformation and platform modernization across SAP/ERP, Salesforce, CPQ, e-commerce, supply chain, cloud, and related digital solutions. 
  • Connect systems, data, and processes to simplify core operations, standardize scalable commercial processes, and deliver measurable business results. 
  • Advance channel management and sales excellence through seamless partner experiences, stronger pipeline transparency, and improved customer-facing digital capabilities. 
  • Champion process mining, advanced analytics, automation, and responsible AI to reshape digital commerce, decision-making, and business performance. 
  • Lead secure, scalable enterprise change across business, functional, IT, and cybersecurity teams within a complex global matrix. 
  • Define and track KPIs for adoption, customer value, operational performance, resilience, and financial impact, applying lessons from both successful and difficult transformations. 
  • Build and inspire high-performing teams, develop talent and future leaders, and strengthen organizational capability.
Qualifications

You Must Have 

  • 10+ years of technology leadership experience in large enterprise environments, including direct people leadership and broad organizational influence. 
  • Proven leadership of large-scale digital transformation and major ERP, SAP, Salesforce, or enterprise technology implementations. 
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing across business, functional, and IT teams in a complex matrixed organization. 
  • Working knowledge of enterprise platforms and their business applications, including SAP, Salesforce, digital platforms, and cloud solutions.

  • Smart Energy, utilities, smart metering, energy technology, industrial, or critical infrastructure experience, including exposure to asset-intensive operations, field services, or regulatory requirements.

  • Exposure to cloud, e-commerce, supply chain, PLM, engineering systems, and broader enterprise application ecosystems. 
  • Experience in a CIO-facing, business relationship management, or strategic IT leadership role within a large global matrixed organization. 
  • Collaborative, adaptable, business-first leader who balances enterprise needs with technology capabilities and operates effectively in a fast-moving environment.
