The Executive Human Resources Leader for India will be a pivotal figure within Huron's human resources organization and the India country leadership. This role requires a collaborative and dynamic leader who can successfully navigate a matrixed organization model, ensuring cooperation and alignment both within the HR function and between the HR function and the business. The leader will represent the needs and priorities of both the HR function and the business, providing day-to-day leadership to all team members.
This influential leader will be an essential member of both the global human resources leadership team and the country leadership team. The role will drive an integrated people strategy that supports India's accelerated growth, partnering across the function to enhance global functional excellence and transformation.
The role will work across the company to define and implement a human resources plan that aligns with the global HR strategy, promotes business growth in India, and enables operational excellence of the overall HR function. The ideal candidate will have the ability to articulate the needs of the country and its businesses, ensuring those priorities are included in the function’s integrated plan. They will collaborate to ensure actionable objectives are identified and delivered, and ensure that HR-related projects and activities are designed, implemented, and managed to deliver expected results, enhance Huron HR across the enterprise, and meet in-country needs.

  • HR Plan Management: Collaborate to define and manage an HR plan that improves HR efficiency, supports the business strategy for global growth, and develops a proactive, responsive, and integrated global HR function that aligns practices and policies across all locations.
  • Data and Analytics: Lead using global data and analytics to improve decision-making, business outcomes, and operational excellence and efficiency of the human resources function.
  • Global HR Due Diligence: Assist with global HR due diligence (terms and conditions of employment, infrastructure, and documentation) in support of HR administration, M&A planning, etc., in collaboration with Enterprise M&A resources.
  • Centers of Excellence Partnership: Partner with centers of excellence leaders to develop and deploy the best solutions possible for Huron and its businesses while meeting local needs and compliance requirements.
  • Strategic Partner and Advisor: Ability to strategically partner to develop and execute solutions to business challenges and to influence strategic business decisions. This requires proficiency in problem solving, project management and risk management.
  • Technical HR Expertise: Leverage advanced technical human resources skills to lead strategic initiatives and deliver operational excellence.
  • Teamwork and Positive Work Environment: Foster teamwork and a positive work environment through frequent collaboration with other HR teammates in promoting best practices.

Ideal Candidate

The desired experience and qualifications of the candidate being sought include:

  • Experience: Minimum of 20 years of global human resources experience with a combination of line business partner positions and leadership in centers of excellence. An appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered and preference for candidates with previous experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Executive Presence: Gravitas, self-awareness, and executive presence commensurate with a role of this level.
  • Labor Laws and HR Best Practices: In-depth experience working with labor laws and HR best practices for India.
  • Innovative Solutions: Proven ability to seek out innovative solutions to business challenges.
  • Issue Framing and Problem Solving: Strong ability to frame issues and solutions quickly and concisely, marshalling the right team members to get worked accomplished.
