Your day at NTT DATA

The Senior Director, People & Culture C&S India is a leadership role in our Cloud & Security Global Practice India Geo, responsible for providing strategic HR leadership and internal consulting to the business and plays a critical execution role in the organization’s ongoing global transformation.
This position is a crucial role in aligning our People & Culture strategy with the overall business goals. They work closely with business leaders, managers, and employees to ensure that HR initiatives support the company's objectives.
The Senior Director, People & Culture C&S India orchestrates people, structure, processes, and resources to support and implement the needs of this business whilst fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on operational excellence.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a strategic people & culture business partner to the India leadership team on HR related matters.
  • Acts as a confidential advisor on sensitive people matters, including coaching and team effectiveness.
  • Supervises the work of HR business partners and provide guidance and coaching.
  • Employee relations eg case management of sick absences, grievance, discipline cases, facilitating legal advise as needed in country
  • Ensuring appropriate works council/union/country consultation processes are followed
  • Country specific benefits and policy design (in collaboration with Total Rewards COE)
  • Collaborating with India P&C Delivery Hub leader to align to NTT Data Inc Group HR Delivery & Operations shared services
  • Employee engagement activities in country/geo
  • Compiles and develops monthly reports and HR metrics to manage the HR calendar, identifies potential trends, address concerns and to manage resources.
  • Proactively stays informed of human resources trends and tendencies and how these can benefit the organization.
  • Leads and manages a team of HR business partners in the execution of the overall HR strategy.

Knowledge and Attributes:

  • Significantly vast knowledge of HR best practices, trends, and strategies to set direction and execute HR initiatives aligned with the organization's goals.
  • Significantly vast understanding of the company's industry, market dynamics, and key business drivers to align HR strategies with business objectives.
  • Significantly vast knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to legal standards.
  • Significantly vast leadership skills to inspire and lead the HR team, promote a culture of excellence, and drive organizational change.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop HR strategies that align with the company's long-term vision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey HR strategies and initiatives to senior leadership and employees.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities to address complex HR challenges and make informed choices.
  • Excellent ability to negotiate and influence to collaborate with stakeholders and drive HR initiatives.
  • Excellent ability to build strong relationships with executive leaders, employees, and external partners.
  • Significantly vast resilience in navigating challenges and leading through uncertainty.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a Human Resources or a related field.
  • Advanced degree such as a master's degree or equivalent in a Human Resources field or alternatively an MBA is highly desirable.

Required Experience:

  • Significantly vast demonstrated experience in a HR Director role, preferably gained within a global IT organization.
  • Significantly vast experience in Employer Branding and Recruitment Marketing strategies.
  • Significantly vast experience in HR systems and technology
  • Significantly vast demonstrated experience managing and leading a team of specialists and generalists in the HR field.
  • Significantly vast operational, hands-on delivery and demonstrated delivery of HR Policies, processes and programs.
