Your opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Senior Director, Sourcing in Hong Kong Sourcing Office, you will lead and elevate our Asia-based sourcing operations, serving as the regional anchor for supplier engagement and execution of global sourcing objectives. You will be responsible for translating corporate sourcing objectives into actionable sourcing plans, delivering supplier performance, buy-readiness, and operational excellence. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving agility, innovation, and cost efficiency across our vendor network, while upholding sustainability and compliance standards. This role is pivotal in bridging global strategy with in-region execution, enabling a resilient and responsive supply chain that supports our growth and brand integrity.

The Sourcing Team builds and executes a sustainable global sourcing strategy that enables us to deliver exceptional products at the right place, with the right quality and cost, and on time. You will collaborate internally with Product Development, Commercialization, Finance, Raw Materials, Quality, Planning, and Sustainability, as well as externally with our vendor partners to execute our strategy.

If you were the Senior Director, Sourcing in our Hong Kong Sourcing Office, here are some of the core activities you would be responsible for:

  • Building, leading, and mentoring a high performing Sourcing team, fostering core competencies and capabilities in delivering a world class supply chain
  • Representing the region in executive-level planning and decision making
  • Aligning regional strategy with business, global sourcing and supply chain goals
  • Overseeing and optimizing supplier relationship and performance through direct engagement, collaboration and partnership
  • Contributing to and implementing our global sourcing strategy with the right manufacturing capacity and capability to drive our business growth and delivers on cost, quality, and speed to market needs
  • Playing a key role in shaping strategic direction by providing market intelligence, regional insights and operational feedback
  • Supporting business initiatives by collaborating with global leadership and translating strategy into regional execution
  • Leading the search strategy for new suppliers with robust sourcing criteria, evaluation and qualification framework
  • Providing leadership and expert insight into seasonal planning discussions, offering recommendations and operational perspectives
  • Leading the seasonal/monthly PO process and WIP management, delivering On-Time-In-Full to meet business requirements
  • Fostering a culture of growth and development across the Sourcing org and regional teams
  • Building a transparent costing methodology with strong standards to deliver the right product costs and meet margin targets
  • Designing comprehensive onboarding and supplier development programs for all new and incumbent suppliers to drive successful execution
  • Negotiating, managing and safeguarding the terms and conditions of our supplier agreement
  • Upholding the Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing through the Arc’teryx supply chain
  • Advancing responsible purchasing principles and practices through adherence negotiated lead time and balanced annual capacities as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy

Are you our next Senior Director, Sourcing?

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Apparel or Textile Design, Merchandising, along with 15+ years of leadership experience in global sourcing and supply chain
  • You have deep experience in Asia-based manufacturing and vendor management
  • You have in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end apparel go-to-market process
  • You have proven skills at problem solving and strategy execution
  • You have proven performance history with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers
  • You have strong communication and influencing skills
  • You have proven business acumen and analytical skills
  • You have strong digital dexterity, including the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and leverage data
