Job Description

What a Senior Director, Head of Technology Advisory does primarily:   

  • Drive the expansion of Technology Practice by leading business development, delivery and holding revenue targets for SMT – IPVMC clusters of Southeast Asia.  

  • Offer expertise in high demand topics – Solution Integration of Visa Product Suite (e.g., Flex, Click to Pay, Visa Direct, Pismo, Currency Cloud etc.), building front-end mobile experiences, enabling payment interfaces, migrating banking stack and other topics that are complex in scale and scope, intellectually demanding, and deadline driven. 

  • Contribute to key Practice building initiatives – top-line growth, new Capability / IP generation, program management, training, mentorship, and team initiatives.  

  • The ability to conceptualize, analyze, build blueprint tech transformations and present solutions to senior stakeholders.   

  • Manage end to end solutioning and delivery of key projects with a squad that comprises both internal resources and external partners.  

  • You will support other consultants and in-market clients deployed teams, taking charge of specific aspects of the project. You will offer solutions for a specific client problem or challenge.  

  • Develop and leverage partnerships with internal product SMEs to deliver holistic support spanning from scope definition to implementation 

  • Stay abreast of evolving payment technologies, innovations, and strategic partners that may accelerate speed-to-market or enhance our existing products and solutions 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 15 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Bachelor’s degree from a top tier institution with 17+ years of work experience.
  • Demonstrated career progression at a consulting firm or in technology role.
  • Have experience of working with senior tech executives e.g., CTOs in a bank.
  • Working experience in credit card / payments domain is a key requirement.
  • Have end-to-end technical expertise in payment systems integration, data management, security infrastructure ensuring efficiency, and robust payment solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to develop well-structured communications and deliver presentations to audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to have structured thinking and build strong arguments.
  • Self-starter individual with a keen appetite for building the business.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, someone who ‘rolls up the sleeves’ and gets things done.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep Understanding of Core Banking and Card Management Stack, Processors, 4-Party Payment Model, Web technology stack & Supporting Technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTML, JavaScript, RESTful APIs, etc.) and service deployment.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud).
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
  • Hold comprehensive knowledge of industry-standard security protocols such as Open ID Connect, OAuth2, SAML, JWT JOSE, JWKS, emphasizing their application in secure and reliable payment processing.
  • Solid experience in enterprise application integration including APIs, Web Services (SOAP/RESTful), Micro Services, Containerization (Open Shift Containers, Kubernetes etc.)
