About the role

As our Senior Director of Global Distribution & Partnerships, you will drive Crunchyroll's growth by building and managing strategic partnerships and expanding our global content distribution channels. Reporting to our VP of Global Distribution & Partnerships, you will cultivate relationships with key industry players, negotiate complex agreements, and identify new opportunities to enhance our distribution reach. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure alignment across the organization while staying informed of the latest trends, business models, and technologies in the industry. Your leadership will be essential in executing strategies that propel our business forward and strengthen our market position..

  • You will develop strategies for partnering with distributor platforms and strategic partners to maximize audience reach.
  • You will negotiate and execute new distribution agreements, collaborating with senior leaders across Legal, Product, Finance, Marketing, Distribution, and Content teams.
  • You will lead initial partnership development, including business cases, value exchange, product requirements, and financial modeling.
  • You will work with the Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to prioritize partner integration work.
  • You will work with Marketing and Creative teams to ensure our brand and titles are represented effectively on partner platforms.
  • You will lead regular meetings with partners to track progress and provide updates.
  • You will collaborate with international and domestic Distribution teams to share best practices and support global and regional partnerships.
  • You will evaluate distribution opportunities and partnerships that align with our strategic goals.
  • You will stay informed of industry trends and developments to guide strategy and decision-making.
  • Occasional travel, up to 30%, may be required.

About You

  • You have 12+ years of experience in global content distribution, including digital distribution through Telco, OTT, Hardware, and Media Platforms.
  • You have a deep understanding of the streaming industry from a business perspective.
  • You possess excellent negotiation skills with experience in complex agreements.
  • You have strong analytical and quantitative abilities, using data to drive business decisions.
  • You have a proven track record of driving revenue, subscriber growth, and expanding distribution reach.
  • You are well-versed in the global media and entertainment industry and its evolving landscape.
  • You are an effective communicator, able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • You are a data-driven problem solver with a proactive and self-motivated mindset.
  • You excel in project management, capable of handling multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Two in-person days per week. Tuesdays and Thursdays are the company-wide days for ALL team members to be in the office, and individuals may choose to come in more if the please.
