Role Mission: As the Senior Director, FP&A and Business Operations at LeagueApps, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for financial planning, analysis, and business operations to drive strategic decision-making, operational excellence, and financial performance across the organization. Your team will function as an internal consulting and FP&A partner, leveraging advanced analytics, data science, and automation to deliver insights that inform executive strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and operational improvements.
You will be a self-starter, owner, and strategic operator, proactively identifying opportunities, optimizing processes, and translating data into actionable insights. Partnering closely with executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and Finance and Accounting, you will ensure that operational findings are integrated into budget planning, forecasts, and quarterly estimates, and that FP&A outputs support both strategic and operational decision-making.
Your fluency in FP&A tools (SmartView, Hyperion), Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, Stripe, and data science, coupled with your business operations and financial planning expertise, will enable you to lead integrated planning processes, optimize workflows, and influence organizational performance. You will also leverage AI and machine learning to automate reporting, enhance forecasting accuracy, and scale operational and financial intelligence.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and multi-year planning processes in partnership with Finance, Accounting, and business leaders.
- Manage rolling forecasts and scenario modeling to identify risks and opportunities.
- Drive monthly business reviews, integrating operational performance with financial outcomes.
- Develop and evolve executive financial reporting into a forward-looking strategic tool.
- Visualize key trends and KPIs using Tableau, Power BI, SmartView, and Hyperion.
- Deliver data-driven insights to the SLT and BOD, explaining key variances and performance drivers.
- Design and implement advanced KPIs and predictive analytics to support growth and efficiency.
- Build real-time dashboards by integrating data from Stripe, Salesforce, and internal systems.
- Apply predictive modeling and data science to improve forecasting and revenue planning.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, customer retention, and revenue outcomes.
- Oversee execution of Weekly QMI meetings, surfacing insights and actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Create automated, AI-powered dashboards to provide transparency into customer and operational metrics.
- Partner with Finance to align operational insights with budgets, forecasts, and strategic decisions.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Business Operations, or Strategic Planning, ideally within a high-growth SaaS or technology company.
- Proven business operations and FP&A leader, adept at translating strategy into execution, optimizing processes, and driving cross-functional performance.
- Extensive experience leading budgets, forecasts, and monthly reviews with
- functional leaders.
- Deep technical proficiency in SmartView, Hyperion, Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce, and Stripe.
- Strong data science proficiency, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning applications.
- Expert at deriving and communicating stories from data, translating complex analysis into clear, actionable business and financial insights.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI and automation to improve forecasting, streamline reporting, and scale decision-making.
- A proactive owner, with a strong sense of accountability, urgency, and executional excellence.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and leadership skills; capable of influencing C-level executives and driving alignment across departments.
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, Google Suite, and other business intelligence or data visualization platforms.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $175,000 - $263,000
