About the role .
The Senior Director Channel Strategy & Execution - Food service, is a key member of the North America (NA) Go to Market Team at McCain. This role will assume responsibility for creating an exceptional in-market implementation of McCain's sales execution to meet the dynamic and unique needs of their respective Channel (Foodservice) that makes McCain the supplier of choice to partner with. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, exceptional execution, commercial business savvy and hands-on, detailed involvement in the day-to-day business.
What you'll be doing.
  • Coordinate the channel's contribution to the development and shape of the annual operating commitment, converting this into annual plans and a proactive activity calendar in line with North America, Business Units (BU) (ie. Potato, Appetizers) objectives.
  • Collaborate with Commercial peers to inform market mapping, environment prioritization, customer prioritization and customer growth plans.
  • Responsible to oversee the channel and category functions, partnering direction with channel dedicated culinary and sales analysts, bringing together this broad skill set and technical expertise to deliver a truly unique and differentiated experience for McCain customers in market.
  • Oversee and ensures exceptional execution in the channel, partnering directly with Sales leadership to execute customer growth plans in the channel and delivering category customer commitments to strategic partners.
  • Own the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective and efficient executional plans in the Channel to further McCain customer engagement and reputation to drive sustained commercial growth in line with the company strategic plan.
  • Influence new propositions and changes to existing propositions to maximize Channel relevance and prepares internal and external launch plans that engage, inspire and drive McCain stand-out.
  • Monitor, track and evaluate operational dimensions of the sales execution in the Channel with a North America and Business Unit lens as part of target setting and planning.
  • Deliver commercial and sales insight and value-added analysis, providing meaningful information that contributes to management decision making and execution.
  • Contribute and participate in commercial controls, processes and oversight of all sales execution in market, ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach across all commercial processes.
  • Be responsible for the timely reporting and results analysis to recommend corrective actions to the VP Go to Market, SVP Sales, BU Presidents and Commercial team based on business results.
  • Lead the development and implementation of functional strategies and initiatives for direct reports that align with annual and long-term plans to support the overall success of McCain while developing the organizational culture, and meeting/exceeding business objectives.
  • Build high-performing teams and develop high-impact talent to drive performance and facilitate continuous succession planning.

Required Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience within a global CPG or Food & Beverage organization, including at least 5 years leading teams.
  • Proven success in developing and executing channel growth strategies across retail, foodservice, or QSR environments.
  • Deep understanding of category management, shopper marketing, and sales execution, ideally within large customers such as Walmart, Costco or mass/grocery channels.
  • Strong strategic influencer with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Entrepreneurial and performance-driven, with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability for results.
  • Data-literate and commercially astute, able to translate insights and analytics into actionable business plans and forecasts.
  • Authentic, people-focused leader who embraces McCain's culture of humility and collaboration; models resilience, integrity, and McCain's Leadership Principles in all actions.

Compensation Package : $165,000.00 - $220,000.00 USD annually + Bonus eligibility + Long-term incentive eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education and training, and other organizational needs.
