JOB PURPOSE

The Senior Director, Enterprise Applications and ERP will lead PHINIA’s enterprise applications strategy and a foundational business transformation across IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Plant Operations, and the broader enterprise. This role will help establish the modern digital core needed to improve global scale, process excellence, operational performance, and data-driven decision-making.
SAP S/4HANA is the largest and most visible component of the role, but success will be measured by business adoption, process standardization, value realization, and sustainable capability building — not system deployment alone. The leader will drive enterprise application solutions across Finance and Supply Chain while partnering closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales/Aftermarket, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and other IT teams.
The successful candidate will be a proven enterprise change agent who can lead at scale, build trust with senior business leaders, influence across functions, and convert complex transformation priorities into measurable business outcomes. This leader will report directly to the SVP, Chief Information Officer and serve as a key member of the Global IT Leadership Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a modern digital core while ensuring the broader applications portfolio supports end-to-end enterprise value beyond a single platform.
  • Challenge existing practices when needed and help leaders make enterprise trade-offs that support simplification, scalability, and long-term performance.

ERP / SAP S/4HANA Delivery and Value Realization

  • Lead large-scale ERP transformation activities, including implementation planning, sequencing, governance, execution, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee critical decisions related to architecture, integrations, data migration, process harmonization, testing, cutover, business readiness, and post-go-live support.
  • Maintain executive-level clarity around risks, dependencies, decisions, milestones, business case performance, and program health.
  • Partner effectively with SAP, system integrators, managed service partners, and internal teams to deliver with discipline, pace, and measurable value.

Business Partnership and Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Serve as a strategic IT partner to Finance and Supply Chain, ensuring technology solutions support business priorities, process excellence, controls, reporting, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner closely with Plant Operations and Manufacturing leaders to ensure enterprise applications support production execution, operational continuity, and shop-floor integration needs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales/Aftermarket, Data & Analytics, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, regional, and digital teams to deliver integrated enterprise solutions.
  • Build trusted senior relationships and translate business priorities into a clear technology roadmap that balances transformation ambition with operational stability.

Global Capability, Talent, and Partner Management

  • Build and mature PHINIA’s enterprise applications and ERP capabilities, including clear accountabilities, operating rhythms, delivery standards, and long-term support models.
  • Develop a high-performing global team capable of supporting major transformation, business-as-usual operations, future enhancements, and acquisition integration.
  • Strengthen delivery capabilities, including global SAP and enterprise applications talent, while building leadership depth and succession strength.
  • Manage system integrators, managed service providers, and technology partners with a focus on cost discipline, responsiveness, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Process, Data, Integration, and Controls

  • Drive global process harmonization across key value streams, including record-to-report, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and demand-to-supply.
  • Establish strong master data governance, data quality, migration, integration, and long-term ownership practices.
  • Ensure enterprise application solutions meet manufacturing, automotive, finance, tax, audit, controls, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate controls, traceability, audit readiness, and governance across enterprise application platforms.

Change Adoption, Simplification, and Growth Readiness

  • Lead organizational change, communications, training, readiness, and adoption plans across functions, regions, and plants.
  • Activate business ownership, super-user networks, and governance forums that sustain transformation outcomes after go-live.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and modernize the application landscape as PHINIA evolves.
  • Support acquisition integration through repeatable approaches for systems integration, data migration, process alignment, controls, reporting, and operational readiness.
