Senior Director Engineering - Payments (Entrata, Inc., Lehi, UT)

Lead an engineering organization in an environment that includes modern web frameworks and complex payment transaction processing systems leveraging a broad set of technology stacks. Work with architects to build resilient, scalable, fault-tolerant, and PCI-DSS-compliant solutions at a global enterprise scale. Ensure on-time product releases of high quality, enabling the core vision of nextgeneration card processing systems compliant with regulatory requirements. Own the technical roadmap and support a full software development lifecycle that incorporates the best of technology approaches and delivery methodologies. Pursue and learn industry-leading innovative solutions and build high awareness of technologies that enable high volume, low latency systems. Build a strong team through actively participating in recruitment activities including sourcing ideal candidates, screening, and interviewing, and thoughtfully contributing to hiring decisions. Engage with direct reports to ensure that the day-to-day activities of design review, coding, and SDLC tasks are conducted with a results-oriented focus. Collaborate with peer technology and product teams across different locations to shape a culture of innovation and experimentation and incorporate the best of technology approaches and delivery methodologies. Communicate with senior leaders regarding strategy direction and changes. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, must report to 4205 Chapel Ridge Rd, Lehi, UT 84043. Salary: $199,493 - $225,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field, plus 5 years of professional experience as Architect, Senior Software Engineer, or any occupation/position/job title involving designing and delivering payment processing software solutions.

Must also have experience in the following: 5 years of professional experience designing, building, testing, and delivering payment processing software solutions and improving best practices; 5 years of professional experience with JavaScript, Java, or Python to work on distributed services (including Agile or Scrum); 5 years of professional experience leading or managing engineering teams with a proven ability to influence and drive delivery across a geographically distributed organization; 5 years of professional experience gathering requirements, developing, and deploying Saas solutions specifically for payment industry; 5 years of professional experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; 5 years of professional experience utilizing CI/CD tools including Git, Bitbucket, or Jenkins and delivering Container based solutions on Kubernetes; 3 years of professional experience utilizing PHP or PostgreSQL; and 3 years of professional experience modernizing legacy platforms and delivering migration of On-prem architecture while maintaining high availability.
