In this role you will:
- Act as a thought leader leading multiple technology programs in Engineering and Future of Flight DT organization for Defense Engineering teams
- Play a key role in supporting the unique engineering needs of the Defense business across both Defense Engines & Services (DES) and Edison Works.
- Partner/collaborate across GE Aerospace to influence an GE Aerospace wide MBE strategy that serves both our defense and commercial businesses.
- Explore and define AI applications within Engineering processes, digital products, and tools.
- Act as primary liaison between the Defense Engineering organization and Engineering and Future of Flight DT Engineering.
- Communicate effectively to engage, inform & influence business stakeholders as well as DT teams.
- Establish and facilitate processes for decision making, process flows and handoffs.
- Recruit and develop world-class global technical talent in Engineering and Future of Flight Engineering DT organization.
- Ensure stable and secure operations across the Engineering and Future of Flight technology landscape.
- Heavy cross functional influencing around a single vision as well as operating and engaging multiple levels within the organization.
- Act as a practitioner and coach of FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace’s proprietary Lean Operating System, to accelerate the deployment of strategic capabilities and value to the business, and to drive standard work in the way in which critical data & technology outcomes are designed, delivered, and supported.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience OR associate’s degree with minimum of 13 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 15 years of professional experience
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in a variety of IT functional and leadership roles
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a People Leader
- Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
