Senior Director – Digital Finance Transformation
At Mars, we are advancing a Digital Core transformation to modernize global back-office operations through a centralized Finance Center of Excellence (COE). This effort is redefining how we operate—standardizing processes, evolving operating models, and delivering a next-generation finance ecosystem powered by SAP S/4HANA and leading-edge technologies. Initiated within Royal Canin, this capability is scaling across Mars Snacking and Pet Nutrition to enable a unified, efficient, and data-driven finance organization for the future.
We are seeking a Senior Director to play a key leadership role within this Finance COE, shaping both the strategy and ongoing evolution of our finance capabilities. You will lead the design, build, and advancement of SAP-enabled finance solutions, partnering with senior leaders to drive standardization, innovation, and performance. Acting as both a strategic advisor and operator, you will guide complex global initiatives while ensuring the sustained success and continuous improvement of finance capabilities across the enterprise.
What are we looking for?
- Extensive experience leading global finance transformation programs, with a strong focus on SAP and ERP implementations
- Deep expertise in SAP Finance (FI/CO) and end-to-end finance processes, particularly Record-to-Report (R2R)
- Proven ability to deliver large-scale transformation initiatives from design through global deployment
- Senior leadership experience with a track record of influencing executives and managing complex, global stakeholder environments
- Strong understanding of finance systems and tools across areas such as tax, treasury, and reconciliation
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver business-critical outcomes
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Lead the Finance Digital Core COE, setting strategic direction and driving execution across global transformation programs
- Oversee the design, build, and global deployment of SAP S/4HANA and integrated finance solutions, ensuring alignment with business and finance strategy
- Govern Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, ensuring standardization, strong controls, and financial integrity across systems
- Partner with senior finance and business leaders to shape strategy, enable decision-making, and drive performance improvements
- Drive end-to-end process integration and continuous improvement across finance and related functions
- Lead cross-functional teams, system integrators, and external partners to deliver scalable, high-impact solutions on time and within scope
- Anticipate business, regulatory, and operational challenges, ensuring effective governance and successful global deployment

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
