Job DescriptionThe Senior Director, Data Acquisition and Partnerships, will develop, manage, and optimize data relationships that support and enhance Experian's Financial Services and Data (FSD) business. You will navigate the dynamic financial data ecosystem to understand the players, their relative strengths and capabilities, and assess the right partners for Experian. You will manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, while optimizing spend to drive the highest data ROI. You will collaborate with internal organizations, including data management, data governance, product management, sales, finance, procurement, and legal.
You will report to the SVP, Enterprise Data Strategy.
You'll have opportunity to:
- Manage and optimize existing data partner relationships to increase ROI and reduce costs.
- Evaluate potential new financial data partnerships to enrich Experian's data offerings.
- Collaborate with strategy and product teams to align data acquisition efforts with needs and strategic goals.
- Oversee testing, licensing, and integration of new data assets into Experian's systems.
- Build and manage relationships with diverse data providers, including aggregators, Direct to Consumer companies, niche providers, and public data sources.
- Negotiate and execute data licensing agreements and vendor contracts.
- Manage vendor compliance, renewals, and performance reviews.
- Partner with legal and privacy teams to ensure data partnerships comply with relevant regulations and Experian standards.
- Monitor data use to uphold privacy standards and mitigate risks.
- Implement cost management initiatives to optimize ROI on data spend.
- This is an individual contributor role.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in data acquisition, partnerships, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Understanding of consumer and financial data, including data assets and technology providers.
- Experience negotiating complex agreements and managing vendor relationships.
- Fluent in data and data regulatory landscape.
- Experience influencing stakeholders.
- Travel up to 15% of the time.
- Preference for candidates based near one of our office locations in New York, NY, Costa Mesa, CA, or Schaumburg, IL. We will also consider remote candidates.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education. You will be also eligible for a variable pay opportunity.
