We operate across multiple states and are rapidly expanding a network of rural clinics co-located with pharmacies. Our goal is to deliver scalable, high-quality care while improving access, outcomes, and cost efficiency.
Role OverviewThe Senior Director, Clinic Operations, will own the day-to-day execution of clinic operations across Pharmacy1st’s site network.
This is a hands-on, field-facing role for someone with direct experience running clinic operations and an understanding of what it takes to keep a clinic functioning efficiently every single day. You will be responsible for ensuring that clinics operate smoothly, providers are supported, patients move through the system efficiently, and performance targets are met.
You will translate clinical strategy into operational reality.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinic Operations ManagementOversee daily operations across multiple clinic sites
Ensure clinics are fully staffed, scheduled, and functioning efficiently
Manage patient flow, wait times, and overall visit experience
Troubleshoot real-time operational issues across sites
Build and manage provider and support staff schedules
Ensure adequate coverage across all operating hours
Partner with recruiting to fill staffing gaps quickly
Support onboarding and training of clinic staff
Track and manage key operational metrics, including:
Visits per day
Patient wait times
Provider utilization
No-show rates
Identify underperforming sites and implement corrective actions
Drive consistency across all clinic locations
Implement standardized workflows across clinics
Improve efficiency of patient intake, visit flow, and checkout
Ensure alignment between clinic and pharmacy operations
Partner with the clinical team to operationalize new service lines
Ensure a consistent, high-quality patient experience across all sites
Address patient complaints and service issues quickly
Improve access, throughput, and satisfaction
Work closely with:
VP, Clinical Services on new program rollout
Pharmacy teams on co-located workflows
Finance on the site-level performance
Ensure new services are executed consistently across locations
Qualifications
Required3–7 years of direct clinic operations experience
Prior role as:
Clinic Operations Manager
Practice Manager
Urgent Care Operations Manager
Multi-site clinic supervisor
Demonstrated experience managing the day-to-day operations of a healthcare clinic
Strong understanding of clinic workflows, staffing models, and patient flow
Experience managing providers (MDs, NPs, PAs) and support staff
Experience in urgent care, primary care, or ambulatory settings
Experience managing multiple clinic locations
Familiarity with rural or resource-constrained environments
Experience working in integrated care settings (clinic + pharmacy a plus)
Skills Required
- 3-7 years of direct clinic operations experience
- Prior role as Clinic Operations Manager, Practice Manager, Urgent Care Operations Manager, or Multi-site clinic supervisor
- Demonstrated experience managing the day-to-day operations of a healthcare clinic
- Strong understanding of clinic workflows, staffing models, and patient flow
- Experience managing providers (MDs, NPs, PAs) and support staff
- Experience in urgent care, primary care, or ambulatory settings
- Experience managing multiple clinic locations
