The Opportunity
Enovix is commercializing the world's first 100% silicon-anode battery architecture — a platform built for the performance demands of AI-era devices. As AI inference moves to the edge, the gap between what devices can do and how long they can run it is becoming a category-defining constraint. Enovix closes that gap.
We are seeking a Senior Director-level commercial leader to own our China go-to-market. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of executive relationship management, strategic account development, and deep technical engagement. The right candidate will arrive with strong existing relationships inside China's leading smartphone OEMs and the fast-growing smart glasses ecosystem — and will know how to orchestrate those relationships alongside our CEO and CTO.
What You Will Own
Strategic Account Leadership
- Build and execute a multi-year account penetration strategy targeting China's top-tier smartphone OEMs (including but not limited to the leading domestic Android brands) and the emerging smart glasses OEM/ODM segment.
- Develop trusted, multi-threaded executive relationships that complement and extend the CEO's existing contacts — enabling coordinated access at the VP and Director levels across procurement, engineering, and strategy.
- Own the commercial roadmap for China accounts: design wins, qualification timelines, volume ramps, and pricing frameworks.
Executive Relationship Orchestration
- Serve as the primary bridge between Enovix's executive team and customer counterparts, ensuring that CEO-level touchpoints are prepared, strategically timed, and followed up with precision.
- Prepare Raj Talluri and other senior Enovix leaders for customer meetings — providing relationship context, account history, and recommended positioning ahead of each engagement.
- Anticipate relationship risk, track internal champion changes, and keep Enovix ahead of organizational shifts at key accounts.
Quarterly Technology Deep Dives
- Own the planning and execution of quarterly technical engagement sessions between Enovix's CTO and customer engineering teams — coordinating agendas, managing pre-reads, and ensuring outcomes are captured and actioned.
- Translate complex battery technology into customer-relevant value narratives, enabling engineering counterparts to see Enovix's silicon-anode platform as the natural fit for their roadmap requirements.
- Identify and escalate emerging customer technical requirements that could inform Enovix product development priorities.
FAE Management & Technical Support Coordination
- Manage Enovix's Field Application Engineer(s) in China, ensuring technical support coverage is aligned to account priority and qualification stage.
- Coordinate FAE activity across active design-in engagements — setting customer expectations, sequencing support efforts, and escalating technical blockers to the CTO's team as needed.
- Work with the FAE to build and maintain account-level technical documentation, including application notes, performance test results, and customer-specific configuration data.
Market Intelligence & Pipeline Development
- Maintain a rigorous, current view of the competitive battery supply landscape in China — tracking incumbent suppliers, alternative silicon-anode entrants, and customer qualification timelines.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline with stage-gated milestones, delivering accurate forecasts to Enovix's commercial leadership.
- Monitor smart glasses market dynamics — design cycles, ODM consolidation, performance specs — and position Enovix proactively ahead of RFQ cycles.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Background
- 15+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience in semiconductors, advanced materials, batteries, or related hardware technology — with at least 8 years focused on China.
- A proven, demonstrable network inside two or more of the following: Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Honor, Lenovo/Motorola, and/or the leading smart glasses ODMs (e.g., Luxshare, Goertek, Quanta, or equivalent).
- Track record of closing complex, multi-year supply agreements — ideally in a component category requiring engineering qualification, not commodity procurement.
- Experience managing or coordinating executive-level customer engagement programs, including structured technical review sessions with engineering teams.
- Experience managing FAE or applications engineering resources in a customer-facing capacity.
- Prior experience at a U.S. or European technology company operating in China; comfort navigating dual-headquarter dynamics.
Skills & Attributes
- Credibility with VP and Director level counterparts on both sides; known and trusted, not just connected. Executive presence and relationship depth:
- Able to engage substantively in battery performance conversations — energy density, cycle life, form factor trade-offs — and translate them into customer business impact. Technical fluency:
- Applies rigorous pipeline management, account planning, and forecasting discipline without being prompted. Structured commercial thinking:
- Native or near-native Mandarin; fluent English; skilled at bridging Enovix's U.S. executive team with China customer organizations. Cross-cultural communication:
- Prepares executives well, follows through without gaps, and raises issues early rather than managing around them. Operational reliability:
Reporting & Scope
This role reports to Enovix's Senior Vice President of Global Sales and carries direct accountability for the China revenue pipeline, including direct management of the China FAE function. Travel within China and periodic travel to Enovix's U.S. headquarters (Fremont, California) is required.
Why Enovix
- A genuinely differentiated technology platform — not incremental improvement, but a structural architecture change in a market ready for it.
- CEO with deep semiconductor credibility and existing executive relationships in the China ecosystem — a rare head-start for the right commercial partner.
- AI-driven demand tailwinds in both smartphones and smart glasses are creating a window; this role is positioned to lead Enovix through it in the world's largest battery market.
- Competitive compensation, equity participation, and the opportunity to build a regional franchise from a position of genuine technical advantage.
Skills Required
- 15+ years enterprise sales or business development in semiconductors, advanced materials, batteries, or related hardware technology

- Native or near-native Mandarin
- Fluent English
- Technical fluency in battery performance topics: energy density, cycle life, form factor trade-offs
- Proven pipeline management, account planning, and forecasting discipline
- Willingness to travel within China and periodically to Enovix US headquarters
