The Senior Director, Brand and Category Insights will lead the development and execution of a category learning agenda that drives strategic marketing decisions and fuels business growth. This role integrates insights from multiple sources to uncover what shapes brand equity, influences consumer choices, and identifies opportunities for innovation. As a senior leader within Human Insights, you will collaborate across our North America Operating Unit and the global insights network to embed consumer understanding into every stage of the marketing process.

What You’ll Do for Us
Develop and lead the category and brand insights learning plan in partnership with Human Insights and Marketing teams, identifying key knowledge gaps and growth opportunities.
Synthesize diverse data sources—qualitative, quantitative, syndicated, and custom research—into holistic answers and actionable recommendations that shape strategies and programs.
Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior marketing leaders, answering business questions in a data-backed, consumer-first manner
Lead insight workstreams supporting creative strategy, innovation pipeline development, product and packaging initiatives, and go-to-market execution.
Leverage cutting-edge research methodologies and explore AI‑enabled tools to continuously enhance the speed and quality of insights delivery.
Foster collaboration within the North America Operating Unit and global insights network, sharing best practices and applying common frameworks.
Manage and develop a team of three Brand/Category associates, building capabilities to elevate impact and performance.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, marketing, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Experience: 8+ years in consumer and market insights within CPG or related industries, including experience with innovation and creative development.
Research Expertise: Mastery of custom research, analytics, and syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, Ipsos) with the ability to design and interpret insights programs across methodologies.
Strategic Mindset: Strong ability to frame structured and unstructured problems, apply holistic analysis, and connect insights to growth strategies.
Prioritization & Agility: Ability to handle multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously, not sacrificing quality or speed.
Leadership and Influence: Proven capability in leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders through clear, compelling storytelling rooted in data.
Communication Skills: Expertise in synthesizing complex information into strategic narratives, with strong verbal and visual presentation abilities.
Collaboration: Demonstrated success working in a networked environment and orchestrating diverse teams, internal partners, and external vendors.
Innovation Mindset: Curiosity and comfort experimenting with emerging research methods and technology to drive speed and precision.
