Position Summary

Epiq is seeking a strategic, growth-oriented Senior Director, AI Programmatic Sales to accelerate revenue growth and market adoption of Epiq's AI-powered eDiscovery, legal technology, and data intelligence solutions. This senior sales leader will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies that drive enterprise adoption of Epiq's artificial intelligence offerings, including GenAI-enabled document review, legal automation, analytics, information governance, and emerging AI solutions across the legal services lifecycle.

The ideal candidate combines deep enterprise sales expertise with a strong understanding of legal technology, eDiscovery workflows, artificial intelligence applications, and consultative solution selling. This role will focus on generating new business, expanding strategic client relationships, partnering with product and operational leaders, and positioning Epiq as a trusted advisor in responsible AI adoption within the legal and compliance markets.

The Senior Director will work closely with corporate legal departments, law firms, compliance leaders, and technology stakeholders to identify transformational opportunities that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and modernize legal operations through AI-enabled solutions.

Essential Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve annual revenue and profitability targets for AI-powered solutions.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of new business opportunities across enterprise, law firm, government, and regulated industry clients.
  • Lead complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through contract execution.
  • Drive growth through consultative selling, executive relationship management, and value-based solution positioning.
  • Identify and pursue large, multi-year transformation opportunities involving AI, eDiscovery, investigations, data governance, and legal operations.
AI & Solution Strategy
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on AI applications within legal services and eDiscovery.
  • Position Epiq's AI-powered offerings to address business challenges related to investigations, litigation, regulatory response, compliance monitoring, and information management.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and technology teams to align market needs with solution development.
  • Translate emerging AI trends into actionable client strategies and revenue opportunities.
  • Educate clients on responsible AI adoption, governance frameworks, security considerations, and risk mitigation.
Client Relationship Management
  • Establish trusted relationships with General Counsel, Chief Legal Officers, Heads of Litigation, eDiscovery leaders, Compliance Officers, Chief Information Officers, and law firm partners.
  • Develop executive-level engagement strategies for key accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through cross-selling and strategic account growth.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client priorities, industry trends, and competitive market dynamics.
Market Development
  • Represent Epiq at industry conferences, client events, webinars, and thought leadership engagements.
  • Monitor competitive intelligence and evolving AI market developments.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop campaigns, content, and messaging that support pipeline generation.
  • Serve as a market ambassador for Epiq's AI strategy and innovation initiatives.
Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Operations, Delivery, Product, Legal, Security, and Executive Leadership teams to develop compelling client solutions.
  • Ensure smooth transition from sales to implementation and delivery teams.
  • Support pricing, contract negotiations, and business case development.
  • Influence organizational strategy related to AI growth initiatives and market expansion.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal Studies, Technology, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including selling technology-enabled services and solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience selling eDiscovery, legal technology, compliance technology, data analytics, AI solutions, or related professional services.
  • Demonstrated success achieving and exceeding significant annual sales quotas.
  • Experience managing complex consultative sales engagements involving executive stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the legal services ecosystem, eDiscovery lifecycle, investigations, compliance, and information governance.
  • Ability to travel as required.
Preferred
  • Experience selling AI, machine learning, GenAI, or advanced analytics solutions.
  • Knowledge of Relativity, Reveal, Nuix, Microsoft Purview, OpenAI technologies, and other legal technology platforms.
  • Experience working with Am Law firms, Fortune 1000 corporations, and government clients.
  • Advanced degree (JD, MBA, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of AI governance, privacy regulations, and emerging industry standards.
