Verizon is building a next-generation advertising and data monetization business. We are seeking a visionary and strategic Senior Director to oversee and scale this newly formed division. As the Senior Director, you will act as the overarching leader for our media ecosystem, directing a cross-functional teams across three key pillars: Product & Ad-Tech, Go-To-Market (Sales), and Commercial Performance & Execution. You will be responsible for defining the overarching strategy, driving revenue growth, overseeing technical integrations, and ensuring operational excellence across all advertising initiatives.
What you'll be doing:
Cross-Functional Leadership: Direct and mentor a team of 9 FTEs, including the Head of Ad Product & Partnerships, Head of Media Sales, Director of Ad Operations & Yield, and their respective teams (Integration Engineers, Client Partners, and Campaign Managers).
Strategic Vision: Own the overarching business strategy for Verizon’s ad products, including premium lock-screen inventory, digital OOH, and owned properties.
Go-To-Market & Revenue Growth: Oversee the development of the GTM strategy and support the Head of Media Sales in securing foundational alpha/beta advertisers with major advertising holding companies and tier-1 brands.
Product & Technical Oversight: Guide the Product and Engineering teams in managing critical third-party vendor relationships (e.g., Glance) and building privacy-first ad solutions like clean room integrations.
Commercial Performance: Ensure the team effectively manages yield, pricing strategies, and inventory flow to maximize revenue without cannibalizing premium core placements.
Executive Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between the advertising division and broader Verizon leadership, collaborating heavily with Data Strategy, Legal/Privacy (CPNI), and core telecommunications business units.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience, Master's Degree highly preferred.
Minimum of 10-12+ years of progressive leadership experience in ad-tech, media sales, digital advertising, or retail media networks.
Proven experience managing cross-functional leaders and building high-performing teams from the ground up (zero-to-one experience).
Deep understanding of the mobile advertising ecosystem, programmatic architecture, data clean rooms, and digital yield management.
Strong executive presence with a track record of driving multi-million dollar revenue growth and managing enterprise-level vendor relationships.
Ability to navigate and lead within a complex, highly matrixed corporate environment.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more.
