The Role
ROLE SUMMARY
The U.S. Vaccines business unit is a critical strategic pillar of Pfizer's commercial portfolio, representing the largest collective impact on population health and a substantial contribution to enterprise revenues and earnings. Our Vaccines protect millions of lives every year across every stage of life. Our inline and pipeline products represent a key part of Pfizer's renewed strategy for 2030 and beyond .
ABRYSVO, our Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Vaccine , is a critical pillar of our portfolio, indicated for active immunization ( i ) of pregnant individuals at 32 through 36 weeks gestational age for the prevention of lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) and sever e LRTD caused by RSV in infants from birth through 6 months of age, as well as (ii) for the prevention of LRTD caused by RSV in individuals 60 years of age and older and (iii) for the prevention of LRTD caused by RSV in individuals 18 through 59 years of age who are at increased risk for LRTD caused by RSV.
In this role as Senior Director, U.S. ABRYSVO Adult Team Lead, you will be responsible for strategy and execution of HCP tactics, and initiatives and driving successful respiratory seasons and beyond-season vaccination for ABRYSVO Adult indications, connected across channels, including coordination with Consumer , Retail and Organized Customer channels . This business - critical role will also be leading a team of talented marketing colleagues, whose growth and development is a top priority.
The role will require the ability to collaborate with Sales, Medical, Global, Commercial Development (CSI), Integrated Insights and Strategy (IIS), Market Research (MR) and other CMO functions, and translate customer and market insights into actions, identify opportunities and accelerators, and innovative strategies to entrench and grow our Market Leadership.
The ABRYSVO Adult Team Lead will also be responsible for :
  • Owning the HCP strategy and segmentation, establishing a competitive message platform, and executing impactful HCP campaigns

  • Driving the US HCP competitive and lifecycle strategy and execution, with timely and thoughtful inputs into Global, Regulatory, and Commercial Development (CSI) strategies

  • Ensuring optimal sales execution , based on clear actions and materials grounded in market realities, and brand strategy

  • Leading an innovative omnichannel strategy based on customer behavior and segmentation, GenAI based content generation, and targeted messaging to prioritized targets

  • Preparing for and ensuring a flawless launch of revaccination strategies in the event of future recommendation in the U.S. market either by regulatory and/or key societies.

The ideal candidate will have high learning agility and bring demonstrated success in leading key HCP marketing functions in a competitive marketplace.
Additional ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and develop a team of 3 - 4 high performing direct reports. Coach team for performance, innovation, and career growth. Model simplicity and Pfizer values, while creating an environment with clear accountabilities and recognizes and rewards performance

  • As a member of the U.S. ABRYSVO leadership team, actively contribute to overall strategy, performance, culture of the brand team

  • Develop the overall HCP strategy and tactical plan to strengthen brand differentiation and ensure market leadership. Develop compelling messages and materials and drive appropriate MLR approvals

  • Lead and coordinate channel partners in Retail, Organized Customer and Consumer to ensure a conjoined and integrated strategic, operational and tactical plan for ABRYSVO Adult, also realizing synergistic opportunities with the Maternal indication

  • Lead development and implementation of annual tactical plan to drive short- and long-term HCP strategy, based on key customer insights. Contribute to the Strat plan to drive mid-long-term growth of the brand

  • Own measurement and impact of HCP marketing initiatives, generating key learnings, and driving continuous improvement to RoI , while achieving Brand objectives

  • Coordinates with Commercial Analytics on the design and implementation of HCP market research to gain customer insights

  • Partner with media, CRM, MEL, and data science teams to ensure integration of innovative marketing capabilities. Partner with Sales and enablement teams to pull through Brand strategy and Insights

  • Serve as a CFC point of contact, partner on opportunities to drive customer engagement and business objectives . Design and pull through Congress and Speaker strategy for Brand.

  • Lead the brand planning and execution for key sales meetings including POA, launch, and product/label training, medical education sessions

  • Manage Publicis (AOR) relationship including performance and budget management

  • Conduct all responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, with a strong adherence to our Values including compliance

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years, Master's degree with 10+ years, or PhD/PharmD with 7+ years of sales and/or marketing pharmaceutical experience with some of it on a large U.S. brand team; management experience required .

  • Strong business acumen including demonstrated strategic marketing and analytical thinking skills

  • Strong project and team management, coordination skills across large cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated ability to operate at a high level on strategy and pull that through into successful execution

  • Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, developing and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

  • Prior Vaccines experience and buy & bill business model is desired but not required

  • Champion innovation, especially in modern marketing, and seek learnings from other brands and other industries to innovate and enhance strategy and execution

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and lead/influence colleagues outside of a direct reporting relationship through influence and persuasion.

  • Experience working in ambiguous, and complex "white space" environments

  • Agile mindset and a track record of pushing boundaries and status quo, and finding ways to deliver in dynamic and agile environments

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $214,900.00 to $358,100.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
