Ecolab is searching for a self-driven and results oriented Senior Digital SEO / SEM and AI Search Specialist within our Marketing Services team in Pune, India. In this role, you will lead search performance strategy across both traditional search engines and emerging AI‑driven search experiences. This role is responsible for driving organic visibility through SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), managing and optimizing SEM campaigns, and ensuring technical excellence across web platforms. You will play a key role in adapting Ecolab’s digital presence to how users increasingly discover content through AI‑powered search, generative results, and conversational interfaces, in addition to classic keyword‑based search. As a senior specialist, you will combine strategic planning, advanced analytics, and hands-on SEM campaign execution to maximize search performance, improve user acquisition, and enhance digital experience. You will partner closely with Marcomm, content, and analytics teams to deliver measurable business outcomes. Skills Required: • Hands-on experience with digital communications, digital channel management, SEO/SEM, AEO & GEO. • Design integrated organic and paid search strategies & campaigns that address traditional SERPs as well as AI‑generated and answer‑based search results • Identify opportunities to improve visibility in featured snippets, AI summaries, knowledge panels, and conversational search outputs • Optimize site architecture, structured data, schema markup, internal linking, and content signals to support AI interpretation and generative search inclusion • Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive SEO (on-page/off-page) and SEM (paid search) strategies and campaigns aligned with business goals. • Web and Application Development: Understand web structure and components to provide basic back-end development, implement technical SEO recommendations, AI‑readiness best practices, optimize URL structures for enhanced performance and search engine visibility. • PPC/SEM Management: Manage paid search campaigns on Google and Bing, optimizing for ROI, ad spend efficiency, and keyword performance. A/B testing strategies for ads, landing pages, and conversion paths. • Content Authoring and Loading: Ability to collaborate with designers, copywriters, digital strategists, and DAM Specialists to to create, optimize, and target high-volume keywords. • Quality Assurance: Understanding to conduct thorough quality reviews of iterated digital deliverables to ensure compliance with established brand guidelines, including SEO, AEO and GEO standards, before campaign launches. • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor campaign & web performance, tracking SEO/SEM metrics to provide actionable insights and reports using Google Analytics and Search Console. • Experience with Digital Marketing Technologies: Demonstrated experience in working with digital marketing technologies such as Sitecore, Google Analytics, Google Ads. • Proficiency with web tools and technologies (e.g., portals, DAMs, CMS) • Basic knowledge of HTML code, CSS, and website architecture. • Basic experience with database management systems, including database design, querying and management. What You Will Do: • Execute tests, collect and analyze data and results, identify trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns. • Track and report website analytics, initiatives and campaigns performance using GA4 and Looker Studio • Manage campaign expenses, budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciliations • Collaborate with copy and content teams to optimize landing pages and messaging for SEO, AEO, GEO and SEM • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization • Research and implement SEO and AI search optimization recommendations • Analyze competitor visibility across both traditional and AI‑driven search experiences • Develop and implement link building and authority building strategies • Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code • Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO, AEO and GEO positions for target keywords. • Contribute to knowledge management activities by identifying and updating knowledge as requested and required. • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and participating in improvement projects. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Digital Media, IT, or related field. • 7-8 years of hands-on SEO and SEM experience, preferably in enterprise or global environments. • Demonstrated success improving organic rankings, traffic, and paid search ROI. • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. • Professional working proficiency in English.
