MaxLinear is seeking a Senior Digital Design Engineer to join our Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) organization. The AMS team develops a broad portfolio of Interface and Power Management integrated circuits serving datacenter, industrial, networking, communications, and multi-market applications. Our Power Management portfolio includes PMICs, Point-of-Load (PoL) converters, power controllers, eFuses, and digital power management solutions. Our Interface portfolio includes USB-to-UART, USB-to-Ethernet, PCIe-to-UART controllers, RS-232/RS-485 transceivers, digital isolators, power isolators, GPIO expanders, and other connectivity products.


  • Develop RTL designs using Verilog/SystemVerilog for ASIC and FPGA implementations.
  • Participate in architecture and microarchitecture discussions based on product requirements.
  • Perform block-level design, integration, debug, and verification support activities.
  • Work closely with verification, AMS, applications, firmware, and physical design teams.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, specifications, and interface definitions.
  • Support LINT, CDC, synthesis, STA, and design sign-off activities.
  • Participate in silicon bring-up, characterization, and root-cause analysis of product issues.
  • Contribute to IP evaluation, integration, and reuse across multiple products.
  • Support low-power implementation techniques such as clock gating and power optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvements in design quality, productivity, and development methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in digital ASIC/SoC design and implementation using Verilog and SystemVerilog
  • Solid understanding of CMOS fundamentals, digital logic design, and ASIC methodologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Required experience with understanding architecture, writing block-level micro-architecture, converting to realizable RTL Design, Synthesis and Static Timing Analysis (STA)
  • Experience with functional verification support, LINT and CDC Analyses preferred
  • Familiarity with serial communication protocols such as I²C, SPI, UART is a plus
  • Exposure to SystemVerilog/UVM-based verification environments is desirable
  • Passion for learning and engineering great solutions
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate clarity of thought and conviction

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in digital ASIC or SoC design and implementation
  • Experience using Verilog and SystemVerilog
  • Understanding of CMOS fundamentals, digital logic design, and ASIC methodologies
  • Experience with architecture, block-level microarchitecture, realizable RTL design, synthesis, and Static Timing Analysis
  • Experience with functional verification support, LINT, and CDC analysis
  • Familiarity with I²C, SPI, or UART serial communication protocols
  • Exposure to SystemVerilog or UVM-based verification environments
