Role description summary
We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team, responsible for building and maintaining secure, scalable, and automated software delivery pipelines. This role combines strong DevOps expertise with a proactive approach to security integration, ensuring that security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
Primary responsibilities / Key result areas
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging and alerting systems to ensure Reliability, Security, Performance efficiency, Cost Optimization and Operational Excellence;
- Automate Security best practices into the SDLC and IaC;
- Troubleshooting and Optimization: Analyse production issues, perform root cause analysis, and troubleshoot deployment failures or infrastructure outages;
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments.
- Integrate security controls and best practices into DevOps workflows, including vulnerability scanning, compliance checks, and automated remediation.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure-by-design principles.
- Manage and optimise cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS) and on-prem infrastructure with a focus on reliability and security.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for performance and security events.
- Drive automation for configuration management, testing, and deployment processes.
- Stay current with emerging DevSecOps tools, practices, and compliance standards.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with software development, ground and satellite operation, QA, Architecture, Security and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and smooth software development lifecycle;
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduated in Computer Science or Software Engineering (Bachelor's or Master's Degree level)
- Strong experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps).
- Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST) and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure-as-code
- Proficiency in scripting languages
- Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
