We are looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to take a central role in strengthening how we build, deploy, and operate software across STARK Group.
You will join a team at the core of our digital transformation, where the platform is not just infrastructure—but a critical enabler of how fast and safely our development teams can deliver value. The platform supports multiple business-critical solutions, and your work will directly influence their reliability, scalability, and speed.
In this role, you will help shape a platform that makes it easier for teams to do the right thing by default—through automation, clear standards, and robust engineering practices.
Your impact and what you will deliverYour success in this role will be visible through the improvements you create in developer experience, delivery speed, and operational stability.
Over time, you will take ownership of key platform capabilities and mature them to a level where they are reliable, scalable, and easy to use for development teams across the organisation.
Within your first 6–12 months, you will, among other things:
- Enable faster validation and safer changes by introducing ephemeral environments based on pull requests
- Establish consistent and predictable release flows across environments
- Strengthen CI/CD capabilities by embedding automation, quality gates, and repeatable deployment patterns
- Improve observability, ensuring teams can monitor, trace, and react proactively to issues
- Enhance the security posture of the platform, including secure pipelines, secrets handling, and access control
- Drive adoption of GitOps-based deployment principles to increase consistency and transparency
- Improve the overall developer experience through self-service capabilities, templates, and clear standards
- Reduce operational complexity by replacing manual processes with scalable automation
You will work closely with development teams, architects, and operations in a matrix setup, and play a key role in aligning how platform capabilities are used and evolved across STARK Group.
What you bringYou are an experienced platform engineer who is comfortable working in complex environments and turning ambiguity into structure and scalable solutions.
You bring a strong technical foundation, but just as importantly, you understand how platform decisions impact both development teams and business outcomes. You focus on building solutions that are reliable, scalable, and easy to use.
From a technical perspective, we expect that you:
- Have solid experience within DevOps, Platform, or Cloud Engineering
- Have worked hands-on with Kubernetes in production environments
- Are experienced with CI/CD and automation, and understand how to design reliable build and release flows
- Have worked with cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and Infrastructure as Code
In addition, it is an advantage if you:
- Have experience with GitOps principles and tooling
- Are familiar with observability practices (monitoring, logging, tracing)
- Have worked with incident handling and production environments
Overall, you bring a pragmatic approach to platform engineering and a focus on continuously improving how systems are built and operated. You collaborate well across teams and communicate clearly - helping others understand both the “why” and the “how” behind platform decisions. But, most importantly, you take ownership and follow things through until they create real value.
Why this role mattersThis is a role where your work will have direct and visible impact on how STARK Group delivers software. You will be part of a strategically important platform capability, where the ambition is to continuously improve how we build, deploy, and operate applications across the organisation.
By strengthening the foundation, you will enable development teams to move faster, with higher quality and greater confidence—ultimately supporting our broader digital transformation.
