Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Belgrade. This is an amazing opportunity within Clarivate Analytics to support the Research & Analytics space under A&G, which include Products like Web of Science, Web of Science Research Intelligence (WoSRI), Incites and other products in our portfolio serving customers worldwide. 

­About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments 

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software automation, system administration or a closely related area including 3 years of experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, 3 years of experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC),  2 years of experience with GitHub and Jenkins/Github Actions for CI/CD workflows and 2 years of experience working with Docker containerization 

• Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent in computer science, software engineering, or a related field 

• Proficiency in English  

­It would be great if you also have… 

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python,  Shell,  PowerShell, Groovy  

• Strong UNIX/Linux command-line skills with ability to write effective bash scripts to automate procedures and workflows  

• Familiarity with Databricks and Delta Lake tools, Python or Ruby scripting for automation

­What will you be doing in this role? 

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools such as Terraform, Cloud Development Kits (CDKs) and/or scripting languages such as Python/Shell 

• Interact with the software development organization, gathering build requirements, providing status updates, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction 

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application/service deployment and testing  

• Support, troubleshoot, and maintain build and test environments in cloud and on-premises infrastructure 

• Ensure security and cost best practices are followed early in the development phase  

• Troubleshoot issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and performance  

• Partner with different teams to support application deployments into production, including refreshed existing applications and new initiatives

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be supporting the build and deploy processes for A&G, Research & Analytics products including Web of Science,  Incites, Web of Science Research Intelligence and other platforms in our portfolio. These products serve academic institutions, researchers, and libraries worldwide with critical research and discovery solutions. You will work on infrastructure that powers customer-facing applications as well as internal systems in a cloud environment, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance for our global user base. 

­About the Team 

Our team is spread across multiple locations worldwide, and in this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across Barcelona, the United States (Eastern Time Zone), and India. You will report directly to the DevOps Engineering Manager. 

Hours of Work 

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within the CET time zone. This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
