What You Can Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps engineer with strong hands-on Kubernetes expertise to join our infrastructure team. As a senior member of the DevOps organization, you will work on some of Zoom’s most security-critical production systems, including secrets management, deployment pipelines, and PKI.
In this role, you will define, lead, and implement projects that enable new features, improve system safety and availability, strengthen our security posture, and help optimize costs
About the Team
Our engineering organization consists of eight specialized departments that work collaboratively to deliver seamless and innovative communication solutions. We are a team of infrastructure engineers focused on implementing and managing Zoom’s most security-critical production systems, including secrets management, deployment pipelines, and PKI.
Our core responsibilities include ensuring high infrastructure availability and designing automation to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles.
Strong proficiency in Kubernetes infrastructure provisioning using Terraform/Terragrunt, and application deployment using Helm; experience managing release infrastructure.
Proven experience designing and implementing highly available cloud (AWS, OCI) and on-prem environments with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.
Ability to define, lead, and deliver projects related to secrets-management modernization and automation.
Comfortable collaborating across teams while making strong hands-on technical contributions.
Adaptable, with a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, ambiguous environment.
Solid Linux systems administration and networking skills, along with effective scripting/automation abilities in Python, Bash, Go, or similar.
Experience setting up monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure service health and performance.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, incident management, and occasional after-hours/weekend release or deployment work.
