Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate modern DevOps platforms and practices across our application and infrastructure landscape. This role is primarily responsible for establishing and optimizing source control strategies, CI/CD pipelines, automated build and deployment workflows, and infrastructure automation to enable reliable, secure, and repeatable software delivery.

Job Description:

The Senior DevOps Engineer will design, implement, and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to enable automated build, test, and deployment workflows. The role involves defining and enforcing Git-based source control strategies, including branching models, versioning standards, and pull-request policies, to ensure code quality and release consistency. Working closely with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams, the Senior DevOps Engineer will standardize build automation, release management, and environment provisioning across development, staging, and production environments. This includes integrating automated testing, security scans, and quality gates into Azure DevOps pipelines to improve deployment frequency while reducing lead time and failure rates. The role also includes automating application deployments, infrastructure provisioning, and configuration management across cloud and on-premises platforms, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices. The Senior DevOps Engineer will support production operations by monitoring system health, troubleshooting pipeline and deployment issues, and continuously improving reliability, performance, and operational efficiency. Key outcomes of this role include fully automated and repeatable CI/CD pipelines, consistent and secure deployment processes, scalable infrastructure through IaC, and continuous improvement of DevOps tooling, monitoring, and platform reliability.

Required Skills:

• 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and infrastructure automation roles
  Strong expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and automation, with deep hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, YAML pipelines, agents, variable groups, service connections)
  • Strong command of Git-based source control, including branching strategies, versioning, and pull-request workflows
  • Proven experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, with exposure to CloudFormation and Ansible
  • Hands-on experience with Docker containerization, image optimization, and container lifecycle management
  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, GKE) and on-prem Kubernetes deployments
  • Experience deploying and managing Docker Swarm environments and using Portainer for container administration
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, with exposure to AWS and/or GCP
  • Experience working with object storage platforms such as MinIO or other S3-compatible storage solutions
  • Strong expertise configuring Nginx as a reverse proxy, load balancer, API gateway, and SSL termination layer
  • Strong proficiency in Linux systems, Bash/Python scripting, and automation tools
  • Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic
  • Strong experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps), including secrets management, IAM, vulnerability scanning, and container security
  • Preferred (Optional): Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, CKA, or CKAD certifications

Experience:

• Relevant experience working in a DevOps, build & release, or infrastructure automation role
• Hands-on exposure to pipeline automation, deployments, and environment management
• Experience supporting production systems and resolving deployment or operational issues

Education/Qualification:

• Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Computer Science
• Preferred: Master’s Degree in IT or Computer Science
