The position requires extensive experience building and automating the deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications. You will be responsible for developing and overseeing code to build and manage continuous delivery systems and improve release processes. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of the architecture behind modern databases/data warehouses and data processing tools and can contribute to the provisioning of its infrastructure. The Senior DevOps Engineer must be able to demonstrate innovative approaches to complex problems which deliver industry-leading experiences for business stakeholders. We are looking for those with a strong computer science foundation and the ability to quickly get up to speed with technologies they may not be familiar with.
Requirements:
- 4–5 years of industry experience with strong Python programming skills and solid CS fundamentals.
- Hands-on expertise in CI/CD pipeline design and development (Azure DevOps preferred) and Git version control.
- Strong experience with cloud provisioning using IaC (AWS CloudFormation / CDK).
- Proficiency in containerization and microservices using Docker.
- Working knowledge of SQL, Bash scripting, and core principles of software engineering and secure DevOps.
- Ability to own large technical features, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver production-ready code.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently or within Agile teams.
Preferences:
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud ecosystems.
- Exposure to OLTP databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and analytical engines (Redshift, Snowflake).
- Experience improving or ensuring compliance with security policies and cloud governance.
- Familiarity with consulting environments and traditional application design concepts.
- Ability to coach teammates, provide technical guidance, and contribute to DevOps best practices.
- Experience collaborating with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to implement scalable solutions.
- Azure Databricks certifications or similar cloud/data certifications (preferred).
