Position Summary

Description: 

 

We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our DevOps team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working RHEL or related distributions, AWS, Git, Mac, Jenkins, and scripting languages, particularly Bash, Groovy, and Python. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our mobile game teams within the European Time Zone. You will work with game teams to ensure that the infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline, is efficient, reliable, and meets their needs. Strong troubleshooting skills across various infrastructure components (servers, network, storage etc) and applications are required. The candidate must be proficient in infrastructure analysis and design concepts and implementations. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with game teams to understand their needs and to identify and implement improvements to their application stack, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Troubleshoot issues with applications, network, infrastructure, builds and provide timely resolutions. 

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize jobs and pipelines for our mobile games, using Jenkins and other relevant tools. 

  • Implement automated build, deployment, and monitoring processes to ensure the quality and stability of games in development and production. 

  • Develop and maintain scripts and tools to automate tasks and improve workflows. 

  • Manage and configure On-Prem and AWS infrastructure. 

  • Manage and configure build agents and servers on macOS and CentOS. 

  • Estimate engineering effort, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and help roll out system changes. 

  • Follow quality engineering processes to deliver high quality products and services. 

  • Communicate infrastructure changes to the organization and ensure successful deployment. 

  • Create detailed design documentation and system specifications. 

 

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of experience with macOS, RHEL or related Linux distributions, and AWS 

  • 5+ years of experience with Jenkins CI/CD application 

  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash/Zsh, Groovy, and Python 

  • Strong UNIX/Linux command line skills 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. 

  • Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control, continuous integration, and automated testing 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment 

Advantages

  • Experience with mobile game development and publishing 

  • Understanding of network topologies, Load-balancers and firewalls

  • Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MariaDB, PostgreSQL, and Couchbase
