    As a Java Software Engineer you will be responsible for writing code, design, and development of scalable and secure software for enhancing service capabilities and expanding product portfolio. You will be part of cross-team engineering initiatives and a culture of high engagement, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

    Omnissa is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the Workspace ONE Assist team. This role is pivotal in driving the reliability, scalability, and performance of the Workspace ONE Assist SaaS services through careful design, implementation, and maintenance of the CI/CD infrastructure.

    In this role, you will collaborate with your peers, architects, developers, QE, and PM teams, ensuring consistent best practices. 

    You will advocate for product enhancements driven by SaaS Operations, develop automation for the AWS infrastructure deployment and configuration, participate in product architecture reviews and post-incident analysis (5-whys, RCCAs). The role also involves identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance team efficiency, participating in on-call rotations, and supporting customer-impacting escalations.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 12+ years for Senior Member of Technical Staff. Strong in DevOps, IT operations, problem-solving, and technical expertise in architecting and designing for SaaS applications and providing technical mentorship to the team.

    • Deep subject matter expertise in multiple DevOps domains, proven track record of mentorship and proven track record of driving and completing organisation-wide projects.

    • Supporting a global customer-facing SaaS service and working with AWS infrastructure at a global scale

    • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server and similar database systems

    • Experience in Windows Server & Linux operating systems

    • Strong development background in Python, Ruby or a similar language

    • Experience maintaining infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet)

    • Solid security background covering areas such as PKI, TLS, WAF, firewalls, endpoint security, and secrets management

    • Networking experience including routing, switching, DNS, proxies, load balancers, and micro-segmentation.

    • Proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes. Excellent communication and leadership skills.

    • Hands-on experience in building and administering VMs and Containers using tools such as Docker, Nomad, and Kubernetes.

    • Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and geographies.

    • Familiarity with logging and monitoring technologies such as Grafana, Splunk, Syslog, Log Insight, etc.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Monitoring and analyzing system performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

    • Designing, developing, and implementing automation tools and solutions to reduce manual effort and improve system efficiency and reliability, including CI/CD pipelines.

    • Collaborating with development teams and other stakeholders to implement reliable and scalable systems and services.

    • Managing incident response, troubleshooting complex issues, and conducting post-incident reviews

    • Participating in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical production systems.

    • Documenting system architecture, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides for efficient incident response.
