Job Description

Organization, Team, and Role Scope:

The Information Technology Group (ITG) supports all business functions by focusing on efficiency in processes, collaboration, and strategic technological advancements. Our DevOps practice aims to improve deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, security, and monitoring for critical enterprise applications.

The team is geographically distributed across Hyderabad (India), Scottsdale (AZ), and Waukesha (WI) and collaborates closely with application, integration, and infrastructure teams.

Technical Environment:

Primary Platforms & Tools:

  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure
  • CI/CD Tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
  • Monitoring & Logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack
  • Security & Compliance:  Azure AD
  • Scripting & Automation: Python, PowerShell

Key Responsibilities:

1. DevOps Strategy & Process Implementation:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for enterprise applications.
  • Establish and optimize infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using Terraform and Ansible.
  • Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies for proactive issue resolution.
  • Implement security best practices for DevOps pipelines, infrastructure, and cloud environments.

2. Application Support & Automation:

  • Support DevOps for key enterprise applications: Salesforce, Workday HCM/FCM, ServiceNow, Application Integration, and Enterprise Data Platform.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management across AWS/Azure environments.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management tools to streamline deployments.

3. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with development, IT operations, and security teams to enhance deployment strategies.
  • Champion DevOps best practices, automation, and culture across IT.
  • Identify and implement performance tuning and optimization strategies for applications and infrastructure.

4. Security & Compliance:

  • Implement DevSecOps principles to integrate security into development workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and industry regulations.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and drive remediation efforts.

5. Monitoring & Incident Management:

  • Set up real-time monitoring and alerting for critical applications and infrastructure.
  • Lead incident response and post-mortem analysis to drive system reliability improvements.
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for enterprise applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps engineering with a focus on cloud and automation.
  • Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Proficiency in AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, and automation scripting.
  • Experience supporting DevOps for Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, or other enterprise platforms.
  • Deep understanding of security best practices, monitoring, and logging frameworks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Kubernetes Certified Administrator) are a plus.

The salary range for this position is: $114,103.81 - $143,896.18 USD

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
