Job Description

As a (Senior) DevOps Engineer in Rockwell Automation, you will become a member of the team responsible for Enterprise DevOps Platform that we design, develop, and maintain as our internal product. Our Platform uses standard DevOps technology stack to automate the delivery of high quality and easily scalable CI/CD environments. With such solution, we assist our teams so they can focus on development and delivery of Rockwell products. Our group supports company internal teams with Platform adoption while working on its further releases to extend and improve existing features.

Not all of the qualifications are strictly required. We believe that a candidate familiarity with some of them and ready to learn DevOps methodologies and tools would be a welcome addition to our team. We value cooperation and fresh ideas, so members of our team exchange the knowledge and complement each other. We are agile, we like Scrum, we are not afraid to experiment and develop our skills.

You will report to the Manager and have a hybrid schedule working in Katowice, Poland.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, manage and develop Artifactory infrastructure and repositories.
  • Design, implement and manage Elastic Stack solutions.
  • Environment monitoring with Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Develop and deploy Kubernetes environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve reported issues.
  • Research and develop new DevOps technologies.
  • Cooperate with the whole team, strive to improve, and help to build a friendly environment by treating everyone with respect.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Knowledge of CI/CD related tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Artifactory or similar.
  • Knowledge of Elastic stack – Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana.
  • At least one general-purpose or scripting language (Python, Bash or other).
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Knowledge of infrastructure and configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible or similar.
  • Knowledge of container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
  • Exposure to on-prem or public clouds, ideally VMware and Azure.
  • Understanding of IT networking, common network protocols and services.
  • Experience using modern source control management system like Git.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Alertmanager.
