ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering scalable SaaS solutions within Microsoft Azure and select Amazon AWS services. Your primary focus will be optimizing CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible, and automating software and hardware release processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot system issues, and provide mentorship to junior team members. Additionally, you'll lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance system reliability, scalability, and security, while maintaining comprehensive documentation and facilitating knowledge-sharing sessions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect and deliver scalable SaaS solutions using Microsoft Azure and select AWS services.
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery within the Accela SaaS infrastructure.
  • Leverage deep expertise in IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Git to build and maintain scalable infrastructure.
  • Manage and optimize Jenkins as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain tools that support and automate hardware/software product releases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and Engineering Leads to analyze distributed systems and implement improvements.
  • Keep system, process, and configuration documentation up-to-date.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost system reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge through technical sessions.
  • Identify and address system gaps, and strategize process improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 7+ years of strategic experience in DevOps Engineering, including cloud infrastructure optimization for reliability and efficiency.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows, LINUX, and Git.
  • Proven expertise in IaC frameworks, such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Proficiency in configuring, optimizing, and utilizing Jenkins within the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Strong commitment to security with experience enforcing OWASP guidelines in SaaS environments.
  • Proficiency in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices for improving availability and performance in Azure-based SaaS infrastructures.
  • Experience designing and managing secure, resilient network architectures.
  • Proven ability to lead incident response efforts for rapid resolution and minimal downtime.
  • A track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for automation.
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog.
  • Expertise across diverse tech stacks with adaptability to emerging technologies.
  • Strong familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence), Slack, and technical project management.
  • Experience with Amazon AWS
