Sr. DevOps Engineer for GEOINT Technology
Location: Hybrid – Ashburn, VA (3 days on-site), 9/80 work schedule
Our team is seeking a Sr. DevOps Engineer to power the next generation of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) technology. This role will focus on high-performance data streaming, handling large volumes of geospatial imagery, maps, and 3D data across both connected and disconnected environments.
Role Highlights:
- Deployment Flexibility: Hybrid cloud/on-prem solutions to support critical geospatial intel at the tactical edge.
- Data Streaming & CI/CD: Optimize low-latency data access and build robust CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable deployments.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure data integrity and compliance in line with military-grade standards.
Ideal for those experienced with geospatial data tech (PostGIS, ArcGIS, QGIS), hybrid deployments, and high-performance server management.
We're looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to lead complex software engineering tasks in a dynamic production environment. This role will act as a senior technical consultant, overseeing design, development, testing, and deployment engineering activities. You’ll play a key part in advancing our CI/CD pipeline to support both VMware and cloud environments (AWS) and will provide strategic technical guidance on complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead automation and CI/CD pipeline improvements, using Jenkins, GitLab, MS Team Foundations Server (TFS), and other collaboration tools.
- Provide technical direction to development teams, drive strategic solutions, and resolve significant technical challenges.
- Design, implement, and support development and production network environments.
- Communicate technical advancements and create proposals, design reviews, and vendor evaluations.
- Ensure continuous improvement by identifying engineering process enhancements.
- Some travel to customer sites up to 10%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred) and 5+ years of relevant experience, and/or the combined equivalent of experience and education.
- Strong background with Jenkins, GitLab, Azure, AWS, Windows, and Linux.
- Familiarity with PC software (Word, Excel, CASE tools) and ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Active Secret clearance or higher preferred. US citizenship is required.

Cubic Pay Range:
$80,000 – $160,740 + benefits.
The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
