How You Will Make an Impact:
You'll work alongside team members to improve how other developers deploy and access their services, how we move data across our platform, and how we automate operations to enable future scale.
You'll be responsible for:

  • Take a leading role in the development and maintenance of services automating our infrastructure, including cloud deployments, user access management, and monitoring
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance service maturity, promote best practices, and maximize shared resource utilization
  • Architect solutions with a focus on production-ready, self-documenting code that minimizes technical debt and maximizes system reliability
  • Champion security practices throughout the engineering process, actively identifying and addressing vulnerabilities
  • Architect and collaborate in the review of designs within the team, simplifying solutions and leveraging existing tools and services
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, communicate dependencies, and deliver commitments with a focus on quality and urgency
  • Embrace and foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement, providing constructive feedback and actively seeking it for personal growth
  • Communicate technical and non-technical information concisely and effectively, fostering knowledge sharing within the team and beyond
  • Build strong relationships with teammates, stakeholders, and partners, encouraging open communication and collaboration
  • Mentor teammates in a supportive and empathetic manner, promoting team redundancy and skill development


Desired Criteria:

  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles within a public cloud environment, with a track record of delivering impactful solutions
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation with strong experience in automated deployment of cloud services
  • Demonstrable hands on experience with CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline or Azure DevOps. (Preferred: GitHub Actions)
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and their primary services and configuration
  • The ability to comfortably define and explain what initialisms like CDN, VPC, ASG, ECS, and S3 are and do, and how those might work together in a cloud environment
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management in public cloud environments
  • Demonstrable proficiency in containerization, including Docker, and use of orchestrators such as Kubernetes or Nomad
  • Experience with one or more programming languages, such as Terraform, Go, Python, JavaScript, or Java. (Preferred: Terraform, Go or Python)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving alignment
  • Experience of mentoring junior resources in a technical capacity

Pay Transparency. DailyPay takes a market-based approach to compensation, which may vary depending on your location. Additionally, this role may be eligible for variable incentive compensation in addition to stock options. Where a candidate fits within the compensation range for a role is based on their demonstrated experience, qualifications, skills and internal equity.
Belfast Compensation Range
£64,000 - £85,000 GBP
