Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong background in both DevOps and Windows environments to join our Nordics Team focusing on the area Medical Cloud Norway. The successful candidate will take ownership of automation, observability, deployment pipelines, and Windows infrastructure, while acting as a key contributor to our internal toolbox and cross-team processes. This is a hands-on role that requires both technical depth and the ability to collaborate with vendors and multiple internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

DevOps & Automation

  • Automate application and infrastructure deployments using PowerShell and CI/CD pipelines

  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters: health, certificates, version upgrades, and API availability

  • Upgrade CGM Journal (application and database) in both production and test environments

  • Upgrade and manage third-party applications within the Medical Cloud environment

  • Configure and provision new setups and access for third-party applications

  • Develop and maintain deployment scripts, PowerShell is currently the primary scripting language

Observability & Monitoring

  • Maintain and extend existing monitoring with CheckMK

  • Lead the new monitoring initiative: set up and operate ElasticSearch-based observability in Kubernetes

  • Proactively monitor server health, application performance, and API availability

  • Support proactive load balancing: adding remote desktop resources, memory, and migrating databases

  • Perform performance tuning in collaboration with the DBA (CGM Journal databases)

Toolbox Development (Onboarding / Offboarding / Order Processing)

  • Build and maintain the internal toolbox for infrastructure-related processes

  • Automate and document customer offboarding routines (resources, processes, multi-department coordination)

  • Provide Order Processing (OP) teams with resource lists, infrastructure data, and operational support

  • Collaborating with the consultancy and OP team on user-related processes where infrastructure involvement is required

Windows Ecosystem & Active Directory

  • Design and maintain the architecture of the remote desktop solution (gateway, MFU, network policies)

  • Administer and manage Active Directory, mandatory core skill

  • Manage firewall implementations in coordination with Group-IT (current transition in progress)

Support & Vendor Communication

  • Provide 3rd-line support for Medical Cloud customers

  • Act as the primary technical contact in vendor communications, English proficiency required

  • Coordinate with external vendors on application upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting
