Redis is looking for a Platform Engineer (DevOps) to join Redis Core R&D’s Platform Engineering team.

The Platform Engineering team works closely with the various product development teams and provides the tools and capabilities to make Redis Enterprise happen.
We believe that our development platform is not just a means to an end but a product in its own right. As a Platform Engineer, you will be at the forefront of crafting, enhancing, and optimizing this critical foundation, to support Redis Core R&D's innovation and growth.
From enabling our product teams, to maintaining our build system, to owning both our internal and open-source infrastructure, this team plays a central role in our business operations.

What will you do:
- Work closely with Redis Engineering teams to design, build, and improve the velocity of Redis’s Core R&D.
- Actively champion and drive innovative solutions and processes within the platform engineering team
- Own and continuously improve the build and CI systems of Redis Enterprise.
- Continuously improve the security posture of Redis.
- Have a direct impact on infrastructure related product features.
What will you need:
- At least 6 or more years of experience working on infrastructure/devops/cloud related domains.
- Strong communication skills,
- Experience in developing production software.
- Experience with at least one cloud infrastructure (AWS/ GCP/ Azure).
- Experience with containerization technologies and concepts (Docker or similar technologies).
- Experience using and maintaining CI/CD tools (Github actions, Jenkins, or similar technologies).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) and configuration management (Ansible, Chef, or similar technologies).
- Self-directed, ambitious, authentic, caring, and eager to learn new things.
Extra great if you have:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Experience with build systems - (Bazel, Meson, CMake, make, etc.).
- Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, GKE/EKS/AKS, Docker Swarm, etc.) and related technologies (Helm, kustomize, ArgoCD, etc.).
- Experience with alerting and monitoring systems (Prometheus, ELK, Splunk, etc.).
- Experience working with large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (especially Redis).
