The Enterprise Foundation Networks department consists of 11 employees and its overall purpose is to maintain, operate and develop Saxo Bank’s LAN, WAN, Remote offices, and Datacenters across the globe.
As our new Senior DevOps Engineer, you refer to the Global Head of Enterprise Foundation Networks and among other tasks you will be responsible for:
- Ensure automation is implemented in a safe, controlled, and auditable manner, aligned with change management and security requirements.
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the infrastructure.
- Provide 2nd/3rd level support on issues related to tools supporting on-prem and cloud network automation.
- Assess requirements from internal stakeholders
- Work with vendors to drive product issues, enhancements and road map
- Identify manual, repetitive, or high-risk network operations suitable for automation and standardisation.
- Design, implement, and maintain network automation solutions to improve reliability, consistency, and deployment speed.
- Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks, templates, and workflows for network configuration and operations.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, and platform teams to integrate network automation into broader infrastructure and operational processes.
YOUR PROFILE
You are a motivated team player with a background in automation and an interest in networking. You enjoy working in high-paced environments and take ownership of improving reliability, consistency, and scalability of enterprise environments. You are comfortable challenging manual or repetitive operational practices and are easy to take ownership to bring automation to the next level.
Further we are looking for a candidate with the following professional competencies:
- Solid fundamental understanding of enterprise networking (LAN, WAN, routing, switching) and cloud components.
- Strong skills in automation and programmability, with hands-on experience using Python for scripting and tooling.
- Practical experience with automation, including configuration management, standardization, and change execution.
- Experience working with APIs, templates, and data models to automate services.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and DevOps principles such as source-of-truth, version control (e.g. Git), and automated validation of changes.
- Experience integrating monitoring, diagnostics, and analytics into automated workflows to reduce manual troubleshooting.
- Fluent in English (corporate language and used every day in the department).
