We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who specializes in database infrastructure, with deep, hands-on expertise in MySQL. In this role, you will own the entire database infrastructure lifecycle—from infrastructure solution design, database cluster and replication installation and setup, performance tuning, automation, production deployment, and support.
Responsibilities:
- Be a key part of rapid development cycles to deliver high-quality infrastructure and products.
- Hands-on database infrastructure management, optimization, and maintenance, utilizing DevOps best practices and automation.
- Own and manage all databases across the organization, including Development, Staging, and high-availability Production environments.
- Cover critical database admin aspects: Security, Failover/Replication architectures, Scaling, and Performance Optimization.
- Incorporate modern DevOps tools, work procedures, best practices, and infrastructure-as-code architecture.
- Cooperate closely with R&D, QA, and the core DevOps teams to streamline DB deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Serve as the in-house subject matter expert on databases, mentoring and guiding developers and QA teams.
Location: This is a full-time, on-site position in Jerusalem.
RequirementsDesired Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps/Infrastructure roles, with at least 3 years of dedicated experience specializing in MySQL administration and optimization.
- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL high-availability configurations, failover replication, security, backup, and performance tuning.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (administration and troubleshooting).
- Strong SQL skills, including 2+ years of experience in writing complex queries
- Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python and Bash.
- Mandatory - good English, both written and spoken

- Developed in C++, specifically calling mysql from it
- Financial background: FIX protocol, FX trading,
- Experience with Jira, SVN, Jenkins
