- Build and maintain highly available and cost-efficient cloud data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
- Work extensively with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
- Develop and maintain Terraform configurations for GCP data services, networking, and deployments.
- Manage networking and deployment configurations for GCP data platform components.
- Design and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines for data services, focusing on quality, security, and efficiency.
- Establish monitoring and observability across data pipelines and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex data infrastructure and production issues and proactively identify potential risks.
- Implement cloud security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and threat modeling.
- Collaborate with application and data engineering teams to establish and improve operational standards.
- Support ongoing GCP migration initiatives by designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure.
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineering role with significant hands-on GCP experience.
- Strong commercial experience building and operating data infrastructure on GCP.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud SQL.
- Advanced experience with Terraform, including infrastructure for GCP data services, networking, and deployments.
- Strong understanding of GCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, and private connectivity.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale GCP solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design robust and reliable technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
