This position is Remote to work with a US Company; you will require to have Citizenship or a work permit from Costa Rica to apply for this role.

Role summary
You will drive the design and evolution of a fully automated CI/CD ecosystem in Azure, integrating security, scalability, and reliability across the SDLC. This role combines hands-on DevOps engineering, infrastructure automation, and cross-team collaboration to standardize processes and modernize deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and related tooling.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.

• Advocate and implement DevOps best practices across development and infrastructure teams.

• Integrate security, quality, performance, and scalability controls into all SDLC stages.

• Support legacy software deployments while transitioning to automated release pipelines.

• Collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, and network teams to standardize environments.

• Manage Docker container orchestration (Kubernetes or Swarm).

• Administer and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers.

• Develop scripts and automation tools using PowerShell and Bash.

• Manage source control workflows in Git (branching, merging, repository management).

• Support MS SQL Server environments and service-layer testing (Postman, SoapUI).

• Assist in troubleshooting production incidents and participate in on-call or release support.

• Contribute to establishing SDLC standards and reducing system complexity across projects.

Requirements – Must-haves

• 4+ years of software development experience.

• 2+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Systems Administrator.

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure environments.

• Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Octopus, Jenkins, or Bamboo).

• Experience with Docker containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes or Swarm).

• Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).

• Experience managing Git repositories and version control workflows.

• Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration.

• Experience with C#, MVC, .NET Core, or other object-oriented languages.

• Familiarity with MS SQL Server and service-layer testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).

• Understanding of IT security practices (encryption, certificates, key management).

• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves (optional)

• Experience implementing UI and API test automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with banking or credit union regulatory and security requirements.

• Experience designing internal tooling to automate SDLC processes.

• Exposure to microservices architecture and cloud-native design patterns.
