Senior DevOps Developer

PeopleCert is looking for a talented Senior Devops Developer who will be part of our Team. This position will be part of our Technology Team, which designs and develops applications that support & manage our certification exams, conducted 24x7 worldwide. Our applications are web based, build on cloud (Azure) based web services/applications using various technologies including JavaScript, Redis, oAuth, .Net, RabbitMQ, SQL server etc, iOS & Android native app development.

As a Senior DevOps Developer your tasks will include the following:

• Drive the development for Test & Live Cloud environments;

• Code publishing using and administering CI/CD tools;

• Perform System Management for Windows and Linux Servers;

• Perform DB systems Monitoring, Performance and management (SQL and Application Servers);

• Monitor system availability and performance;

• Write scripts to automate tasks and/or to collect KPI data.

What we look for:

• Academic background in Computer Science, IT or a relevant field;

• Extensive experience within a similar role;

• Excellent command of the English language (native or C1 level certification desired, LanguageCert C1 LTE or C1 IESOL certificate would be a plus);

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office;

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills and data driven mindset;

• Ability to collaborate within a multi-functional team environment;

• A 'get-things-done' attitude, with the ability to multitask and prioritize, while delivering high quality content against target deadlines.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

• A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check

• Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)

• HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)

• Financial background check

• Employment reference check

• If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
