About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
5+ years of work experience as a DevOps or a Software Engineer.
Excellent understanding of all the steps of Software Development and Delivery Life Cycles.
Excellent knowledge of AWS Services.
Professional knowledge of Linux is our standard Operating System.
Professional knowledge on Automation processes and coding (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Python, Serverless Frameworks, Workflow Engines, etc).
Professional knowledge of containers and orchestration. We use AWS ECS and EKS.
Good Knowledge on Data Engineering (ELS, Data Pipelines, Data Lakes & Open Formats, Orchestration Tools, Security & Compliance).
Knowledge of supporting Java, Node, and Python applications
Knowledge on software architectures based on microservices (autoscaling, service discovery, etc.)

What will you be doing in this role?
Manage cloud infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices (Terraform).
Support Product Engineering Teams with automated CI/CD pipelines (Docker Orchestration, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Assist Data Engineering Teams with automated data pipelines and ETL processes (Databricks, Snowflake, Glue).
Enhance the reliability and observability (using Datadog) of our products and troubleshoot production incidents.
Drive operational efficiencies through scripting for security and cloud cost management (Python, PySpark, Go).
Foster a collaborative, silo-free culture across teams.
Product you will be developing
You will join the DevOps team responsible for delivering the backend infrastructure and deployment pipelines that power Clarivate’s Life Sciences & Healthcare offerings. Our products focus on accelerating drug discovery, regulatory insights, real-world evidence and commercialization intelligence via data, analytics, and APIs. Internally, your work enables feature teams to reliably push changes through staging and into production environments, with strong safeguards, repeatability, and scalability built in. You will collaborate directly with development teams, and security/QA teams. The tech stack includes AWS, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD, Python and Java microservices, and infrastructure automation.
About the Team
You will be part of a central DevOps Engineering team of 6 skillful engineers, charged with creating internal frameworks, shared tooling, and standards that all delivery teams adopt. The team is the bridge between CICD automation, operations and support, playing a role during incidents, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
Hours of Work
This position is based at our Bangalore office. It’s a hybrid role that requires you to work on-site 2-3 days a week.
