What The Role Entails

Are you a seasoned real estate development professional ready to own the day-to-day execution of complex, high-design multifamily and mixed-use projects? Dalian Development is seeking a Senior Development Manager to drive projects forward across a growing national portfolio. You'll work directly on entitlements, investment analysis, design, and construction workstreams to keep every project on schedule, on budget, and true to our vision.

What You Will Get to Do

  • Lead all phases of the development lifecycle, including feasibility, underwriting, entitlements, design, construction, and stabilization of multifamily and mixed-use projects
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and reporting to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery
  • Oversee financial analysis and underwriting, including detailed pro forma modeling and sensitivity analysis
  • Lead entitlement, zoning, and permitting processes and coordinate with municipalities and stakeholders
  • Direct and coordinate project teams including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
  • Support financing efforts including loan applications, draw requests, and investor reporting
  • Monitor construction progress, manage risks, and address cost or schedule variances
  • Prepare and present project updates, investment memoranda, and recommendations to senior leadership

Requirements

 What You Bring to The Role

  • Undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning, Finance, Architecture, or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in real estate development and construction, with strong ground-up development experience required
  • Proven ability to deliver complex multifamily and mixed-use projects on time and on budget
  • Experience with both high-rise and wood-frame construction preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Financial modeling / underwriting capability
  • Ability to travel as needed to oversee regional projects
  • Deep familiarity with permitting, design review, and local regulatory processes in urban markets
