The Senior Developer will test application programs, provide application support to internal customers and update complex system configuration artifacts. The Senior Developer will also produce functional and technical specifications, as well as implementation plans. The Senior Developer will participate and assist in system technical designs and software evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand business objectives and maintain strong working relationship with business partners and stakeholders that they support.
  • Lead and mentor team members in support of business deliverables, understanding and incorporating industry best practices/standards.
  • Independently perform process analysis, create and develop quality functional requirements using the models appropriate for both the customer and project (process models, prototypes, data flows etc.).
  • Assist senior members to incorporate the business vision into the technical roadmaps for the systems they support.
  • Ability to document the "as is" state and collaborate with the team to develop solution options and the "to be" state documentation.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of business and technical domains and assist senior Business Analysts to evaluate solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement by gathering and incorporating successes and lessons learned into best practices and future enhancements.
  • Develop situational analysis and decision making abilities.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders of all types across the organization
  • Ability to communicate difficult or sensitive information.
  • Conducts themselves with transparency and learns to manage own development.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Hands on experience with Amazon AWS or Azure
  • 5+ years experience with Java Spring Boot or .Net Core
  • 5+ years building single page applications using Angular or React
  • Experience building microservices utilizing Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Oracle or Sql Server
  • Deep understanding of the IT Organization and business systems that they support.
