Verition Fund Management LLC (“Verition”) is a multi-strategy, multi-manager hedge fund founded in 2008. Verition focuses on global investment strategies including Global Credit, Global Convertible, Volatility & Capital Structure Arbitrage, Event-Driven Investing, Equity Long/Short & Capital Markets Trading, and Global Quantitative Trading.
We are looking for a Senior Developer to join our Risk Technology team. This person will take a senior role in helping to develop the firm’s risk technology framework, and work closely with senior members of the technology and risk management teams.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop applications for supporting Risk Management Team.
- Communicate and work closely with Risk Management team.
- Mentor junior members of the team.
- Provide support for existing applications.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience
- Ability to program in Python and Java
- Experience with various AWS technologies (Redshift, Batch, Airflow, Lamba, etc)
- Experience with MySQL, REDSHIFT, Oracle, SQL Server
- Experience in database design for both batch processing and reporting
- Experience in building ETL processes
- Experience working in third party systems (e.g. Risk Metrics, Bloomberg AIM and others)
- BA/BS degree in STEM or equivalent experience
