The Role

We are searching for a Senior Developer with the ability to handle sophisticated technical issues into easily understood communications that will influence executive audiences with varied technical backgrounds and capabilities.

This role requires someone who can participate in the full software development lifecycle leveraging the latest technologies and architectures to support our development efforts within the Financial Risk and Compliance area while collaborating with multidiscipline technology teams.

Our Impact:

Our Enterprise Risk Management Technologies Team within Enterprise Business Technology Office are responsible for partnering with the ERM and Compliance organizations to deliver mission-critical solutions and capabilities that transform the business.

We deliver ERM solutions to optimally assess and supervise all risks, issues, controls, and compliance, integrations between ERM and other systems. We support solutions for the data platform to enable effective data analytics and reporting, collaborate with other technology teams to advance our technical capabilities, automate, and optimize processes to meet business challenges, and adopt FHFA comprehensive regulatory reporting modifications and resolve outstanding data quality issues.

Your Impact:

Being an active member of a high-performing agile team designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications, including contributing and participating in design and code reviews, while ensuring they meet the required standards for quality, performance, and security.

Build microservices-based solutions using Java/J2EE frameworks, JavaScript, containers, AWS tech stack and test automation suite to fully test the applications and features, contribute to creation of and maintenance of delivery pipelines for newly built services/solutions, and support defect and incident resolution, and remediate security vulnerabilities and technical debt.

Stay up to date with industry/enterprise standards, the latest technologies, general principles, and techniques to understand business requirements, participate in requirements analysis, design applications based on system requirements and architecture, develop unit tests, and deploy the applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired; advanced degree preferred

  • 5 - 7+ years of experience in design and development of applications and web services using Java EE, Spring / Spring Boot. Python, JavaScript

  • Experience with various JavaScript frameworks

  • Experience with API development and integration

  • Experience with CI/CD and DevSecOps

  • Hands on experience in ServiceNow Platform (Preferred)

  • 5+ years of software development experience working in Agile, Lean/Kanban, or Scrum based Agile organization

  • Experience applying Test Driven Development (TDD), Behavior Driven Development (BDD), and Static Code analysis to improve quality and reliability of delivery

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $116,000 - $174,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
