Senior Dev-Ops Engineer

We’re looking for a talented engineer to join the PTC’s DevOps team for Codebeamer product.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days/week in our office in Budapest.
The right candidate will have a background in CI/CD build and test automation pipelines for Java based applications, and use that experience coupled with system level thinking to create and maintain the process and environment of a continuous delivery and testing system.
Your Impact
As a DevOps engineer for Codebeamer at PTC, you and your team will be responsible for the full stack of tools, processes, and environments that make up our CI/CD system to turn the code check-ins from product teams into software we can deliver to our customers. You will use your background, depth of knowledge, and experience to advance the organization’s DevOps tools, systems, and processes, enabling us to deliver industry leading software more quickly.
Day-To-Day:
• Resolve issues with CI/CD Pipelines and systems - Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat)
• Review logs to debug issues in distributed environments
• Review, understand, and improve legacy systems and processes
• Take ownership of new projects, solutions, ideas, assignments, action items and issues, and drive them to completion
• Learn and leverage new technologies, and provide documentation and training for others
• Provide technical direction and support to other engineering teams as they navigate DevOps-related issues
What you will bring to the job:
• Docker is a must have knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bash/Python knowledge
• You have met with these technologies: Ansible, Linux, Jenkins, Networking (basic knowledge is enough), Managing databases, like Postgres, MySQL, Oracle (basic settings, queries)
• GIT

Skills and experience that will make you stand out:
• Git LFS
• Azure (AKS + core services enough)
• General Kubernetes
• AWS (ECS + core services)
• Terraform/Cloudformation
• High experience with Jenkins pipelines (Groovy)
• Systems administration in Linux and Windows environments
