Job Summary & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Desktop / Endpoint Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our modern workplace environment. This role is responsible for managing endpoint platforms (Windows, Intune, SCCM), improving user experience, and driving automation and security across the device lifecycle. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a passion for enhancing end-user productivity.
Job responsibilities

Endpoint Management

  • Manage and maintain enterprise endpoint environments (Windows 10/11)
  • Lead device lifecycle (build, deploy, patch, retire)

Endpoint Engineering & Automation

  • Design and maintain imaging and provisioning solutions (Autopilot / Autopatch preferred)
  • Develop PowerShell automation for deployment and maintenance
  • Implement modern application packaging and deployment strategies

Cloud & Device Management

  • Administer Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune & SCCM co-management)
  • Manage device compliance, conditional access, and policy enforcement

Support & Incident Resolution

  • Act as escalation point for complex desktop issues
  • Drive root cause analysis and preventative solutions

Collaboration & Projects

  • Partner with Security, Infrastructure, and App teams on major initiatives
  • Lead/participate in OS upgrades and digital workplace transformations

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain technical documentation and knowledge base
  • Mentor junior staff

Preferred Work Experience

  1. 5+ years of experience in desktop support, with a focus on SCCM and Intune.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  3. Proficient in Windows 10 and 11 operating systems, including imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  5. Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users.
  6. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) are a plus.
  7. Strong understanding of ITIL principles and service management practices.\

Business Competencies

  1. Experience in a corporate IT environment.
  2. Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and remote desktop support tools.
  3. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation tasks.
  4. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  5. Ability to lead technical initiatives independently.
  6. Experience driving automation and process improvements.
  7. Strong stakeholder communication (technical → business translation).
  8. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
  9. Autopilot / Zero-touch deployment experience.
  10. Entra ID (Azure AD) and Endpoint security (Defender, hardening, patch SLAs) knowledge.

Conditional Access & compliance policies knowledge.

Skills Required

  • 5+ years desktop support experience with SCCM and Intune
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Proficiency with Windows 10 and Windows 11 imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting

  • Experience designing and maintaining Autopilot and zero-touch provisioning
  • PowerShell scripting for automation of deployment and maintenance tasks
