Senior Designer I (Landscape Architecture) for LandDesign, Inc. to work at our Dallas, TX loc. Prep digital & hand drawings to communicate master plan, design elements & site features. Support in writing proposals, change orders & developing fee budgets. Create project plans & align them w/ project fee budget. Ensure legibility & clean communication of construction docs. Demonstrate expertise in technical aspects of construction drawings. Provide prelim internal Quality Control review of plans in coordination with project lead. Participate in & lead client & regulatory review meetings. Prep meeting minutes. Advise client & team on next steps & ensure successful outcomes. Independently participate in Construction Administration activities. Ensure quality of planting design in regional context of project. Execute accurate grading plan. Support & begin to lead Design Studio to develop & advance creative design concepts for clients & projects. Support public outreach & collab efforts as req’d by project assignments. Conduct project research & precedent studies, ordinance review, & prep site reviews & analyses. Prep CAD documentation, project concept design packages, & construction documentation & permit drawing sets. Develop & demonstrate accuracy in drawing sets. Assist in editing technical written specifications. Build knowledge around plant materials & understand how to properly specify plant materials for planting schedules. Explore current graphic standards & building construction methods. Build knowledge of construction & best practices. Participate in construction phase services activities with ability to undertake multiple size projects that range in complexity. Collab w/ internal design team of civil engineers, planners, contractors, & client consultant teams involved in project. Represent LandDesign in design team meetings. Participate in development & enhancement of daily processes & practices in support of project efficiency. Seek general instruction on new assignments. Train & mentor Designer I and II. Applicants will be required to submit a portfolio of work relevant to required experience and skills. May undergo background checks. Little national travel may be involved to client sites, professional development opportunities. Travel not to exceed 60 days/year and length of a single trip not to exceed 5 days. Must have Bachelor’s in Landscape Arch or related field and 4 years of relevant experience in landscape architecture and required skills. Alternatively, must have Master’s in Landscape Arch or related field and 3 years of relevant experience in landscape architecture and required skills. Requires skills (3 years exp) in: AutoCAD; Civil3D; Sketch Up; Adobe Creative Suite; Microsoft Office Suite; graphic skills, hand and computer generated.
